has anyone ever tried to screen record a time lapse or themselves drawing on the computer.

I would like to do this. To teach the drawing threw method to more people. What is a good program to use for the time lapse.

FRAPS recording at about 2-3 frames per second.

I've done something like this before but instead of using FRAPS, I just capture a large series of screen shots with ALT+PrintScrn then compile them into a video file using AfterEffects or Premiere (Windows Movie Maker works too). My computer is old, so saving a bunch of pictures is dramatically less resource intensive than trying to record video.

There are apps like Camtasia Studio that boast features specific to timelapse recording, but in my experience they're all bloated, glorified versions of FRAPS with webcam capture and unnecessarily fancy effects built-in.

I would like to see how people do their artwork, especially from people that make games. Seen a few from digital artists...

I have used camstudio in the past, although it was pretty demanding on my PC.

I don't know why, but i was thinking i had to record the video first and then slow it down with a time lapse. I feel so stupid for not thinking about just making a slow recording.

Thanks for the help.
