That's a pretty broad question.
Fusion has some methods for generating random numbers. In the expression editor type Random(value) to generate a value from 0 -> (value - 1).
For the graphics Scott used an outside 3D modeling program.
As an aside I think it's funny that we've come full circle. Scott started off publishing his games here, and now people are coming from outside the site and asking about his games. I wouldn't be surprised if most people outside this community don't realize this.
I wish he'd work on Flanville 3 instead of these horror games personally, but I guess that's not what makes the money.

Well I think I just learned something then. What was his name on TDC before he deleted his account?

He still has an account here I believe, but he did delete all his games. Presumably so his fans can't link them to his account and find things he said on the forums maybe? He comments every now and then.
He published so many games here too. In fact one of his games is on the last GOTW page, but it's removed as I said. The thumbnail is still visible, and if you know his art style you'll see it right away.

When I first saw FNAF on the front page of steam I knew it was him immediately based on the art style. It's unique to him as far as I know.
I really wish he would port all his old games to the newest Fusion, or at least release the source code.

A friend did a stream of FNAF, I don't care much for them but he has a lovely voice so I watched about 30 seconds of it before moving on. But! To get that "3D room" effect use the Parallaxer Object. I used it in Wake and noticed the little visual quirks caused by the extension, before that I didn't know it was made in Fusion.

A good test for determining if something is made in fusion is to look for "stdrt.exe" in the task manager. It'll show up if it's a compressed fusion game. If it isn't compressed then it won't show however so it isn't a perfect test.
You can try some of the fusion hotkeys. F2 is a good one, it'll restart the entire game. But of course this key can be disabled too, so it isn't a perfect test.
Transitions between frames can be a dead giveaway also. Most people just use the built-in transitions and they work by running all the "start of frame" events first then freezing the frame before running the transition, so if you see any objects appear awkwardly after the transition is complete that could indicate that it's a fusion app.
Another is to check for mfx (I think that's the extension?) files decompressed in the window's temporary directory will the app is running. The extensions used a fusion app are just dll's that are decompressed and loaded when the app starts by the fusion runtime.
Anyway there are more, but I should be working right now.
