We had a thread like this a few years ago and it was quite active, thought it would be fun to start another one.

I am currently working on Fishhead:Blueprint and am having fun making boss levels.

I'm working on a small RPG project inspired by Dragon Warrior (Dragon Quest) which I won't reveal just yet. Stay tuned though!

I've been pretty slow with game development lately, but I've been working on various games (including an mmorpg game which is coming along nicely!). I've mainly focused on doing art the last few months.

Fishhead:Blueprint ziet er leuk uit, Hayo!

(absolutely nothing in this screenshot is final)

I've been trying to create a personal website to showcase some of my games and game art - https://adamhawker.000webhostapp.com (temporary url). Meanwhile, development continues on my own WebGL2-based game engine...

It's not something I'd claim to be "working on" (yet), but I've also just discovered the classic boardgame "Diplomacy" ( https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/483/diplomacy ), and been playing it online at Backstabbr.com

For anyone not familiar with Diplomacy, it's kind of similar to Risk, but instead of being a game of luck (there are no dice rolls), it's all about secret negotiations with the other players, and you win by lying, manipulating and backstabbing - it's fantastic!
It makes me want to create something similar, but with randomly generated maps...

Also on the subject of boardgames, with the whole Coronavirus thing going on, I'm having to entertain two small children a lot of the time, and I've been thinking about trying to invent some kind of single player boardgame (maybe a dungeon crawler?) to keep the 8 year old busy.

Working on Splotches for the Nintendo switch, and then after that I'll be switching gears back to my little breakout game for iOS.

Here is a gif of one of the bosses for the breakout game NikNak:

@Joshtek: Great work on Kliktopia! It's nice to see someone trying to preserve all those old games, as the original external links have been breaking, one by one. Some of the more popular games are at least still floating around the web - eg. http://www.fullgames.sk/fullgame/5767/plasma-warrior.htm

As for the board game, I don't think I have the time or resources for anything too fancy right now, so I'm thinking maybe a simplified "Dungeon Quest" ( http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/472/dungeonquest ), but without all those hundreds of tiles and cards. I recently found "Lantern" ( http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/2202582/wip-lantern-solitaire-adventure-roll-write-game-de ), and it gave me the idea of making the game board as a disposable, printed A4 sheet where the players draw in the map rooms and corridors themselves (instead of placing tiles). The only thing is that I haven't found a dice-based combat system that I like - it needs to be quick and easy, but ideally have some small element of skill to it, since the rest of the game is going to be pretty much entirely luck-based.

I nearly bought "Catacombs of Karak" ( http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/241477/karak ) last time I was in Slovakia, and really wish now that I had - it looks like the perfect first dungeon crawler for kids.

@UrbanMonk: Nice! He looks genuinely sinister. I like the title screen text too. What's the unique selling point? I'm guessing there are quite a few Arkanoid clones on the market already.

@Hayo: Thanks very much That's high praise coming from the master!

There isn't a unique selling point atm, and I'm not sure that there will be. I've just always wanted to make a halfway decent clone.

This game was first released back in 2009 or so as a flash game and I've just been upgrading it every since.

I added backdrops, an intro, enemies, cool transitions, more powerups, and better music/sounds since then.

I've played a ton of breakout clones on iOS and honestly I just don't like them much, so I'm making this for me.

@Sketchy Cheers. I'm still working on Kiktopia and submissions of old games are welcome! Actually, one of my next big projects after I've caught up with the submissions to date is to add links to The Daily Click for any game at Kliktopia which are listed at TDC and have had some help from Clubsoft in this regard.

@Hayo Nice trailer, and the game looks fun. Looking forward to this next instalment in the Fishhead series and its many enemies, goose riding antics and those old-timey graphics.

After neglecting Fusion 2.5 for a while I finally started working on something quite recently. It's really just an attempt to make something that closely resembles a real Commodore 64 game although It looks like a ZX Spectrum block sneaked in on the bottom right of the frame. I might call it Gun Runner.

Image

Also very recently (in the past 30 minutes) I found an old AndyUK version of Mr Stumps' Dentures I was working on in 2009. For anyone not in the know, Mr Stumps' Dentures is well known to older members of TDC as a platform game made by resident Admin Chris Street.
I can't actually submit it to TDC because the website wont accept any Dropbox link I give it so if it's not too cheeky I'll just paste a screenshot and a Link to a .EXE here. Technically I'm not working on it. It's abandoned.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/puqg9zfkvk4zuxq/AndyUKsStumpgame09.zip?dl=0

One of those two links MIGHT work?
