Hi, y'all, I am making a sort of rpg-ish game and I have HP, Mp, Experience, strenght and yadda yadda yadda. And, of course, I have some problems.
I want my maximum Hp to rise when I gain a level, how do you do that?
And, a question that has been asked a millon of times, but as I cant find it, please answer:
How do make your character switch weapon? like if he has a pistol and then it should change to a machine rifle of he picks one up????
thanks in advance/tobbe

Make a hidden counter and name it "HP Maximum"
Make sure the characters helath counter never gets higher than the HP Maximum counter. I forget what the condition is for it though. And when you want the HP Maximum Counter to increase use this event
-Condition
Level Counter is Greater than or equal to 10.
-Event
Set Hp Maximum to 50.
As for leveling up make a counter that tracks experience points and when it reaches a cetain value add one to your level counter. When you attack subtract (Current Value Of Level counter) from enemies health.

Are you including a save function as you will need to use perhaps and ini file that can change the counters number on each load.
Also TGF can't handle many objects including counters so MMF is much better for this type of game.

Use an INI file! Search for an article on it.

Or my ini article:

I've found that the ini plus object is easier to use, because of some of the expressions.
