I've got this Games Factory problem where objects just seem to dissapear. And its really screwing things up. When I press the fire button my character will loose ammo but no bullets will come out. And when he does his trail effect the object he needs for that wont show up making that special effect completly useless.

That question must 've been asked a thousand times. TGF can't put more than 260 active objects or something in a level, so delete some active objects. MMF doesn't have that problem though.

Hum, this may seem like a really dumb answer tp your problem, im sure ya hace checked it, but is your animation set properly, no white frames, and set to loop not just play the first frame then go off.
