In that case lets get down to business.

One improvement would be the ability to edit what you have written in the forum. This can correct type errors and the like.

Also see my post: Improve the downloads section or http://create-gamescom.readyhosting.com/forum_post.asp?id=33836

TDC's good. They should have an inbuilt chat doofrey i dont like msn, bloody miro.... rubbish.

Also the Admins should put some lotion on their 'itchy' locking topic buttons and delete buttons, they are very itchy.

Apart from that bloody good service *cheers admins* lol.

Nah it wouldnt replace the forums. TDC would get ridiculed without them, a klik site with no forums, i'd be able to here the 'roofles' from here.

A good idea would be that when you click on the "Delete" link for the topic a message box would pop up asking "Are you sure you want to delete this?".
I agree, the DC needs an edit button, I had a topic on this a few months ago.

Well this is a busy time for everyone: I have exams, TomH's internet is broken, and so on. I'd like to make more admins, but I think 99% of people who ask to be an admin think they'll do a good job but once they get started and realise just how much work is required, they start to slack off. Everything the admins do is not always visible, theres a huge amount that goes on behind the scenes... too much to mention it all.

We deal a lot with Clickteam and have a strong relationship with them; we often ask Clickteam for things, and they often ask us for things. Not only do you need strong communication skills in order to keep things diplomatic and running smoothly, but we also need people who can be trusted not to jepordise this relationship we have.

There is also script development and design. This is normally the job of Clubsoft or myself, but there are also other matters such as SQL and Database manipulation that admins are required to do at certain times.

Furthermore, I cant speak for the other admins, but I get around 20-40 Private Messages a day, plus even more via email. The admins need to be able to reply as quickly as possible, while remaining helpful and friendly. Again I dont know about the other admins, but I have trouble keeping up with the massive flow of questions I get each day, and often fall up to a week behind in replying, particularly with university commitments such as assignments, exams, and the society I'm an executive in.

Plus there's updating news from outside DC, such as new information from Clickteam and other companies within the community.

Plus I also have the GOTW, Poll, Competition, and much more that I need to update all the time.

So there is a lot more to being an admin that just updating the games.

I hope that when people read this they'll be a bit nicer to the admins, and realise there's a lot more work required than you may think.

No, that isnt what I said. I said that I think more admins would be beneficial, but I cant just hire anyone... and most of the people who have been around and have proven to be "trustworthy" usually have better things to do with their time (i.e. making games, work, other community sites, etc).

It helps if you read what I say before you criticise it.
