you post stuff in downloads, articles, and previews. they earn you points. the more points, the higher the rating.
but, for the love of god, dont post stuff for the hell of it. make sure it's all relevant.
ps, the rating refers to your experience here at TDC, not your experience as a klicker. really skilled people can come to this site and remain "newbie" until they post something. and visa versa.
oh, and whats more, your rating isnt important. so dont worry over it.

1 point for an article, about 5 for a download, 2 points (I think) for a review and 1 point for a preview.
As Pete said, DC Points give you absolutely nothing, and please don't spam.

Now that I come to think of it it seems a bit unbalanced... two points for a three-paragraph review, but only slightly more than double that for spending ages putting a game together?

In my opinion, 1 point for an article and two points for a review seemed unbalanced. They should raise it for two points per article (though there will probably be a small spamming wave if this occurs).

2-5 for a download. You can get that much for 1-2 articles!
I think you should get 10 points for a download, 3 for an article, 2 for a review and 2 for a preview. But then they'd have to increase the points you have get to up a ranking. Say 30 to become Normal, 60 to be Expert and so on.
