when in the games factory level editor is there a way to zoom in and out? it would come in real handy for my birds-eye view car level. also the level editor used to show me co-ordinates, now it doesnt? ive checked the general settings, can anyone help me?
id rather get an answer to these stupid questions than never ask at all.
cheers.

I'm afraid there's no way to zoom in or out in the level editor for TGF. There is in MMF1.5, but not TGF, which is a pity. You can move objects 1 pixel at a time by selecting them and pressing the arrow keys though, which I often used to use in TGF to get objects precisely where they should be.
I've had that coordinates problem too. One day it was there, the next gone, like a summer's breeze in the midst of life... etc, etc...
I'll see if I can find a way to get it back for you, although I never managed it before.

Lol, I just found it a few moments after posting! It's one of those things which is so easy that it skips your mind. I spent years looking for it, and I still have no idea why it turned off, but here's how you do it:
open TGF, go to the level editor, and select 'Edit --> Editor Preferences' in the menubar. Under the 'Level Editor' tab, click the 'Show Coordinates' box. Click OK, and they should now appear in the bottom left corner of the Level Editor.
If it's still giving you grief, just yell

istvan - Rycoon is talking about an extension that can zoom in/out at runtime, not in the level editor.

I think I just figured out your problem with the coordinates not showing up. The same thing happened to me, and I was just fooling around with the settings and I got it to show up again.
Go to File > General Setup then check the box for Show Status Line
Now you should be able to see the coordinates again!

This Zoom object I'm hearing about sounds very happy.
Happy? Darn it, spending too much time with other people.

It's crap as crap can be. Really buggy object and it hardly works, for MMF only aswell i think. But there are loads of other ways. I've seen a method using a dll and probabley the most effective way was using a subapp, with strech on.
