I am leaving TDC for awhile, like spiderhead already said.
the reason is that there is too much arrogance here. I hate to see
klikkers who are just starting are bashed, I hate to see people voting "thumb down"
just for the fun, I hate to hear people who say "fishhead is sitting on a high horse" just because fishhead3 in no1 at the moment (ED deserves that place btw), and then there was that guy who cant even make up his own name, and therefore takes the name of a 60 year old singer/songwriter, who just comes here and insults my best friend.
I will miss the good people, so I ll came back someday, I won't give up klikking.
Don't run away from the problem, face it. I get bashed on an almost daily basis, but I still hang around, because if SOMEONE likes me or my games, then its worthwhile klikking for that.

fishead, you shouldn't let one or two people get to you. there's always outcasts in any community, the problem will never go away.
you should stay, really, just to show them. but if you go, you should come back soon. you'll be missed.

I was like that for a while, but came back. The thing is there seems more and more of us leaving because of this reason---so surely that means there are enough of us who aren't like the people we hate, and it's us we should be staying for?

i must admit i am beginning to find spiderhead quite tedious. espescially since yesterday, for some reason. sorry mate, but im inclined to agree with shme. maybe you should, err, stop replying to every single post just for the hell of it? and change the name. to something original.
Fishhead stopped replying to emails a couple days ago - guess I jumped the gun when I heard Spiderhead say he might be leaving. Either way though, I hope he returns soon.
P.S. I don't mind Spiderhead(again, I've only read his misc forum posts). He may be a *little* annoying, but I find flamers and newbie bashers more annoying...
Alas, I've only new Fishhead for a little time, but he's a really good artist. I'll miss his posts. Hope you come back soon.

I can tell you this, fishheads graphics are not gradients. The way Fishhead shades is the way things look like in real life that we dont really notice, but with a more cartoony effect. There is a light source, and there is a shadowed area and a blend in between like all things do, look for yourself if you dont believe me.

Ya just get used to these things, i took a 2-3c month break from dc, not cos i couldn't stande people dissin each other but i couldn't be arsed to. So I just started doing reviews instead after all..If your gonna

I didn't leave cuz of the bashing of MY game, I know fishhead 3 isnt as good as the top 5 downloads suggests, I just made some cool gfx one day and I didn't know what to do with it, so I took the Fishhead 2 engine and put those new gfx in it and made a game..
what I cant stand is bashing games in general, I hated to read that "bottom of the barrel" post. I know bottom of the barrel is funny, i respect desolation click, but all those people who were suggesting other games to be reviewed in the bottom of the barrel..jeez..those people are suckers and swallowers. (I even saw someone suggested fishhead to be in the BOTB, thanks for that but it already has a fair review there )
actually the recent post by jon(smegsoft)made me come back, cuz I saw there are a lotta good people here (and then I am not talking about the one who locked it).
Dave_C: What are you talking about? Most of the bashers are younger than 20! They're not ex-pros! They may be good at making games, but most of them don't have jobs as high-level programmers.

FH3 doesn't deserve to be the number 1 game here... maybe in the top 10, but definetly not number 1. fishead 3 is a normal game with great graphics, but it does get boring. Eternal daughter should be at the number 1 spot, simple as that.
fishead didnt necessarily want his game in the top spot, its not HIS fault that people are putting it there.
i think there's something psychological going on here. people see FH at the top, they then think "it must be good" and vote thumbs up for it without even playing it properly. or they see praise for it on these boards, and then go and vote for it. i dunno.
anyway, you'll be lucky getting people to change their ways. it just aint gonna happen.
I don't like being here that much anymore. It seems that there are those 'flamers' everyones talking about, and then the 'flamer-bashers' and almost every post turns into an argument. I might go soon, and start being a newbie on a different community site because I'M SICK OF ALL THE ARGUMENTS.
