Apparently everyone here is completely against default movements. So I need help on creating custom movements for platforming and racing.

To tell you the truth, most people dont like giving out their engines to people they dont know. I'm sure there's examples floating around somewhere (a good guide is to search for any examples made by Tigerworks )

If you cant find anyone to help you out, then you're going to have to try and do it yourself. But AFAIC there's nothing really wrong with the built-in engine for most games... It's only when you're trying to do some advanced techniques that it falls behind creating your own engine. I suggest making your games with the default engines, and if you have problems, then you can try and seek help for creating your own (or you at least know what the problems are and can work towards implementing a specific solution rather than trying to find a general custom engine that works for everything, which rarely exists.

Thanks. I am trying to make one now. I am about to finish a demo which I will likely put up here tomorrow or Saturday. And in the full version I intend to give the character more abilities which may require a custom engine. If anyone would like to be real nice and let me have an engine for platforming. Something basic would be nice.

Actually since I posted this I made my own custom platform movement. It seems to work pretty well. As for you Andyuk,I just signed up and didn't see any similar posts but I will be sure to take your advice and try it. Akira, yours also sounds good. I'd like to thank everyone who responded to my post.
