just to clear stuff up, that "TDC SUX" or whatever it was post wasn't me, but the "hacker". i think everyone realised though, but you never know...
anyway, the little twat hasnt done anything except delete my downloads (oh the heartache! the shame!) and do something with chris branch's account, so no harm done, eh?
i still cant get over the stupidity of it, it is beyond words. .
edit: someone's added a <*/td*> tag to my sig, and i cant edit my profile (the submit button is gone)! sorry if this is screwing up the forums...

I think it should be pointed out that the person who gained access to Pete and Chris' accounts wasnt a hacker. It's called a Brute Force attack and can be done by anyone who knows how to download a program to run password scans (including my 89 year old grandmother). I like to refer to it as "kiddy attacks" because it doesnt require any skill.

I'll give a cookie to anyone patient enough to guess my password (no admins allowed) and no its not "hgj321!jslasi492032jspaeass" sooo dont even try that one...
Gaining unauthorised access is hacking (well, cracking), no matter whether they used skill or not to do so.
Sorry just thought i'd say ¬_¬

It's still gaining unauthorized access, Shadow. It is "cracking", as a hacker was someone very skilled (because they could hack the system till it worked or something like that).
