Hey guys, i just downloaded the MMF bonus pack and within minutes made a super platform engine that includes:
*Movement
*Water
*Springs
It's made in MMF 1.5 but if you are a TGFer please feel free to open the exe included within the zip and see what this amazing extension is cabable of.
PS. I was going to include anti gravity, but then i couldn't get reverse jumping to work. If you want the gravity bit though, just add a "on key pressed" event and have the action - set gravity to getgravity(PME) * -1. And that will reverse the current gravity.
This extension lets you do exactly what you want - in fact, it's even easier, since you can adjust all sorts of things with one simple action. No use reinventing the wheel, is there?

I agree, i have also mastered it and I feel it is much more simplier and just as powerful as any other custom movement engine. You can even do anti gravity by just adding one event .
Thats not true JonWog. The only thing it can't really do is something like a Sonic platform movement. But most platform games are not like that. It sure has saved me a huge amount of time. It's kind of funny because I was about to start a platform game, ready to make my own engine, and on the same day the platform movement extension came out. I tried it out, and realized it would be a complete waste of time to make my own. My game is now much further along then it would have been, and I have not yet encountered any limitations.
As I said before, if you enjoy coding, then make your own, but I want to actually finish a game.
99 percent chance that the above post is 100 percent correct.
Could the maker of this extension please make it compatable for the Games Factory. I'm begging you. Please.

Yeah, the idea is you get MMF. That's why they don't support TGF extensions as much, they want you to buy MMF.
And back to crappy engines, you can achieve a sonic engine with the pmo but going round loops need a bit of work. I agree making custom movement engines are alot more fun then using this, but this can make your job alot easier sometimes.
