man my self esteem is like, way down just by asking this question. Okay, I'm currently re-doing an old game of mie, and it is a platform game. ...And you all know what the question is already. I have a request , tho. I suck, I mean, terrible, no hope, never can or will, when it comes to ...custom...(AHHH) platfrom movemnt. I want to request someone's assistance in designing a simple one for me. No springs, converyers, ect. Just walk and jump, like the built in one. If anyone has the kindness in thier hearts, I'll gladly hand my sister's hand in marrige over to you, as well as putting your company logo in the game's opening, ect. ect.

Oh, I know, belive me, I've tried many, many times, but I can never get it right. Even when I follow step-by step, something always wrong. And then I never even know what's going on anyways, like how it works. Can anyone help me??

I have a stable platform movement with walking and jumping If you want send your game to me and I'll copy the platform movement over. It's a bit confusing though to modify, unless you actually created it.
Some features are inertia, no overlapping, gravity..."basic" stuff.
I have the dame problem I can make garavity and lef an right movements and stuff, but I cant figure out how to make the damn jumping! Can anybody tell me a SIMPLE way?
I was thinking of releasing my platform movement, but all it has is jumping/walking...it needs weapons, etc. before I can release it as an example(I think).
it seems to me that people ask for tutorials and when i post a link to one they dont even bother looking at it. then the next day somebody else asks for a platform engine and so on
so people, my website has easy tutorials for platform engines made with the games factory in the tutorials section.
if you want one go and get one.
yeah, but your jumping is weird in those tutorials andy!
not to worry though, I have figured out how to do my own unique jumping!
But the rest of the engine is still a bit buggy. Mabye I'll post a link up so people can tell me how to correct the problems.
