I don't know about the name change, but there wasn't much time between the lof3 preview and the download. Maybe he removed it to fix something or the lof server exploded.
They're elitist, prejudiced perhaps? Always been like it. Some of you might've noticed that their forums were called 'Not the Daily Click!' for a week...
Danjo can be very vicious but he's all right really. I speak from experience.
It's part Hill Gigas's fault, he overreacted, and with that reply the Natomic members would always tear him to pieces. No, he doesn't deserve it, but they're like that, and I don't respect them very much for it.
talking about lof3, i haved loved the past 2 LOF but i am dissapointed with this one. This has better graphics, more gameplay and such. althought i have a dark screen the start town is to dark, the last two lof of flan has ben simple and this one has a new system and i am all confused, just add one new thing or have a tutorial like Final Fantasy have.
I know what happened with The Hill Gigas. Yesterday, I mailed Hill to ask if he was playing his LOF3 game but he said no, he said " sorry can't play. I'm deleting everything and this time I'm not coming back." I mailed him and asked if it was Pulsecode who got him mad and left. He mailed back " If not Pulsecode, it's someone else, sorry but this is an unhealthy hobby for me, could you tell everyone they can still download these games at Scottgames.com?" Later that night I was about to mail when all The Hill Gigas mails turned to Mia and today X-member. Sorry if you won't believe me but it's true.
Ah. I think I made a bit of a booboo. I didnt realise he was The Hill Gigas, and after recieving a PM asking for me to delete him, I pondered about it, and did so. After all, he's been having problems at Natomic Studios forums.
Come to think of it now, I think someone got his password. So...ah...thats why all his stuff suddenly disappeared. I f*cked up...sorry :S
Oh be quiet Pulsecode ! Why are you so happy that you got The Hill Gigas out of DC? Do you take The Hill Gigas as that much of a threat ? Besides, it was you who first got at him then he went at you. He wasn't trying to beat you in anything contest so why are you getting at him?
1) It's not being a fan it's you just being plain mean about it.
2) People usually would NOT laugh about someone leaving.
3) You said it wasn't all you but up above 2 of your comments ago, you said " it was all you! "
4)Like Rikus said in another one's game, when you wrote your comment you could say how he could improve it, not say " I guess you were beat up a lot in school."
Ok sure, you and The Hill Gigas shouldn't of said " I guess you were beat up in school a lot." Where did he say that? I would not of put these last few forums because I did not believe you got him off DC but when you started laughing about it, it got me thinking you really tried to get him off,( break him down ).
relax marine. the hill gigas was good DC contributer but he sometimes cracked at nothing, check out the Grizzly Warfare game comments, whats left of them. when he found people didnt agree with him he deleted his comments, and said if thats what the majority thinks they must be right. its pulsecodes fault at all, how can he expect someone to have a complete breakdown over a little arguement.

here's me flapping my gums - as scott put it! - he has reacted badly to critisim about his game.
my first post at natomic regarding this flan rubbish. (yes, my opinion is its technically good in some areas, but overall not a fun game or worth bothering with - marines 10/10 was laughable) anyway..
he withdrew LOF multiple times and reput it up. i almost choked with laughter, when someone asked how quick he makes them.. it because its regurtitated. the same thing with same bugs etc. in my (brash) opinion, its a waste of time. my tip to scott, when he abused me via email was get the game right in the first place, then release it, rather that all these half-baked goes with a new number rapped on the end.
his opinion of himself - probably inflated by his n1 fan - marine, has sent him into an insane furry, lashing out at anyone who doesnt like the game, and all of natomic, who had NOTHING to do with LOF, and NOR they would want anything to do with it.
his insane rantings on the natomic thread (as supplied by jannis earlier) was hardly as bad as his rantings got on his LOF3 download thread. i just now wish i copied it all, before he grabbed his bags and run.
i dont miss LOF, and personally i dont care to me mr popular around here either.
maybe scott has gone to work today to shoot all his co-workers?!
my stand on games like the flan one is that its a childish and stupid idea. like an (adult playing pokemon). i hardly can "wish i didnt think of this"
im sure the kids would like the idea tho.
Danjo, although I pretty much agree with you about Legacy of Flan, you were pretty harsh to 'The Hill Gigas's thread and that really started the conflict.
On the other hand, he's an idiot because of the overly inflated ego his positive download comments gave him (or perhaps hes just always like that, he did accuse everyone of not having a life).
A lot of people on ANY FORUMS are really just sheep and don't stop to think about their true opinions on the situation, or find out the facts.
So don't get all hostile at Natomic or non-daily click websites.
Oh, and you guys are throwing the word 'elitist' around rather loosely. As I see it, 'natomic forum-goers' simply have higher standards, they're not trying to isolate themselves as a higher class of clicker.
Yeah, ben's right, 'Natomic forum-goers' do have high standards, but even so the comments were harsh, and it's not like they see crap games every day - unlike DC, which IS a community site and is for everyone of varying skills. The description for the Game Development forum is quite community-like, though. ("Making a game? Want to show it off? Need some help? Tell us about it here!")
Hm, maybe when Andi does the new colour scheme he can install some filters to stop people like The Hill Gigas getting through and leaving the community.
