Hey everyone,
I want to know what you think the best 3d langauge is. I've tried a few (Blitz3d, Darkbasic Pro, Jamagic{sorta},Darkbasic) But i can't really decide. Blitz3d seems to be the best so far but i'm trying jamagic in a sec.

The most powerful language is C++ with DirectX, but I wouldn't bother with that. I recommend Blitz 3D. Dark BASIC is awfully slow and buggy. Never used jamagic, but as with most clickteam products the tradeoff for easiness of use is a cutback on game speed.

I'm tempted to draw up a large word "LANGUAGE", render it in 3D, then post the image here. I can't be bothered doing that, but I just thought I'd mention it so you could appreciate the magnificence of that gag.

Even though mine isn't even proper 3d, mines better, therefore the best 3d language is this one.

no no no NO! jamagic is no good.
Blitz 3D is the answer.. I'm talking on experience.. jamagic is SLOW.. is barely able to make the effects u want..
Blitz3D in the other hand is very fast.. (2d and 3d) u have top of the line effects.. and I'm talking directx9 and stuff..

AND with B3D u have bone animation.. wich is very important for your game so it doesnt look like a DOS 3d game!
(jamagic does not have bone animation.. however it supords quake2 type of models.. I think u can make those kind of models with Milkshape 3D)

Jamagic had like.. 2.. maybe 3 updates.. fixing loads of bugs.. still u'll find more and more bugs.
Blitz3D had millions of updates.. some of them fixing bugs.. but mostly adding new cooler commands... update 1.83 wasn't long ago.. 2 months maybe. Last update had was few days ago.. its version 1.85.. with kick ass improvements!

What I say is true, I know this cuz I have both softwares for long time. I RULE!!

with jamagic u can't make 2d games btw.. unless is some kind of retro type of game.. otherwise your fps will be around 15 or 20..
Jamagic has some good texture options.. like reflecting a bitmap for shiny armours.. but u've got that with blitz3D too..

Wich language is easyer? well.. some people like object oriented programing(oop).. wich you'll be writing stuff like.. "dog.xposition += dog.xvelocity" .... and with Blitz3D you'll be writing "dog\xposition = dog\xposition + dog\xvelocity#" ...
Its pretty much the same thing.. Yeah I know oop has more features than that.. but it just makes things more complex.. when u can easly make the same on blitz3D as well.

Jamagic has some creepy multitexturing.. that's 1 object with several textures.. often used for the ground.. with grass.. dirt.. sand.. etc.. but I think it only allows 2 textures....and 1 reflective map. but with blitz3D u can mix up to 8 textures. And its all like that.. blitz3D is better.

I checked Jama3d and it sucked, the code is overcomplicated. One line of code in Blitz3d is = to about 6 in jamagic. There is alot more coding, and yes it's slow. So i think ill choose Blitz3d, it looks awsome .

they gave a lot of examples why it sucks, except from the fact that it is quite hard to learn if it's your first one... but still, Blitz3d isn't really better, just less complicated

Once I learnt how to create a sprite, Jamagic was really easy
Then again, I managed to make Space Invaders in MS Excel so I must have some programming ability
