Nintendo have gone wierd.

-Mario sunshine plot-

Holiday.
You got wrongly accused
of spilling pollutants
over a island.
So Mario decides
to clean up the mess.

Translation normal
You got blammed for spewing up a chocolate
like substance over an island that you didn't put there.
So mario decided to clean it up using a hose and
a creature that looks like a cross between an
elephant and a camel.

WTF!!!

Yes, Nintendo really are losing it as far as plot ideas are concerned.

Yeah, okay, their target audience is primarily aimed for the younger audience (little kids mostly), and they admit that. But there's a problem.

Little kids don't exist any more. By the time a child can talk, they're acting and thinking like teenagers, and as such they want to be treated as older than they are -- so even someone who IS technically a child would never consent to use a console that is designed to appeal to children. They'll want one that appeals to the older ones, because they want to appear big.

That's why 10 year olds sneek into 12-rated moves, 12 year olds into 15's, 15's into 18's, and so on.

That's Nintendo's problem.

Dines that is not Nintendos fault, its societs fault or our culture.

When i was 14/15 ish i thought the PS1 was great, 'relaistic' games such as Gran Turismo was great etc.

I can tell you Gran Turismo is not relaistic, drive a real life car (rear wheel drive), they behave nothing like that in gran tutismo, why do the rear wheel drive cars always understeer?

So i laugh at Kids saying "OMG OMG i cant play mariokart becuase its not realistic!" well a game is meant to be a game, so as long as they are fun, thats all that matters to me...

Nintendos falling apart, and I feel bad for all that have the gaycube this holiday season. I didnt think anyone even had that system. rehashes of mario kart cant get themselves outta the hole they have dug themselves into. The PS2 and suprisingly Xbox has surpassed the gamecube in every area. Just cuz nintendo had good systems in the past doesnt mean you should stick to it, you should play whats fun.

The games are basically all good.
It's just that damn kidsy title it's got.
The Nintendo probably appeals to the older audience anyway.

I agree with Paul. Gamecube is NOT a cutesy console. If you want reality, then dont play games you ****s. Games are FUN- and if you dont want 'cutesy' games, then dont bash them- play your own games. (Gamecube has a lot of NON "cute" games too. Check out the master list on Ninty dot com.)

Lufu is right, nintendo are well rich, they don't need games to make money, but they go into that business because they like it. Pokemon like it or not is STILL a major shelf clearer for clothes, toys etc (as well as the popular gameboy games).

People also seem to forget that gba exists, it owns the portable market cos N-GAGE has a poor layout, poor games and is tres expensive.

Nintendo are far from going out of business. F-zero GX rules.

Nintendo may be 'Rich' but unfortunatly the appear sliding down a mountain
in Australia.

Ps.HOSJ, I haven't got anything against Nintendo's so called "Kidsy" quality.
I was refering to the impression it passes out.

Get F-Zero GC.

I don't know why everyone started calling Nintendo kiddy anyways. Does no one remember back in the 16bit era? SNES was at the top with games that ranged in all age groups. Then the GBA has similar games to that. THe N64 had ranging age games too. GC is no different. Is it because of the console casing? Or what?
