Meh, wormholes are way to science fictional to be taken seriously in my oppinion. There's not all too much science behind them either. And most of it that is is really far out and relies alot of assumptions rather than proofs. Sure, some of the theory behind is quite understandable and seems easy enough IN THEORY...but bending and moving the fabric of time and space? WTF? I don't think so. The complexity behind even considering doing something of the sort would be so astronomical, humans could not even begin to comprehend how to solve such a problem without thousands of years and research. And imagine the consequences of doing something wrong on that scale, which is more than likely to happen cause humans arn't known for their instant perfection of technologies.

I think it's just too far out an idea to be seriously considered. Not until humans can grasp many other technologies should something be considered. Teleportation is more in the realms of posibility than wormhole theory IMO.

I think Time Travel Will never be discovered.
Because otherwise people would have come back and it would be recorded in history.
Theres only another Millenium max before we screw the world up so these 2000 years would not seem too insignificant to visit.
It's probably also an impossible idea because when you think about it time isnt being recorded. Its not a long line thats constantly growing longer, its a single point just like any other type of matter in the universe. And its impossible to go back because its not recording itself and you cant go forwards because the cell of matter is not yet there.

Did you know scientists slowed down light so much it turned to a gooey semi liquid form? I think they shone it through special prisms and such.

i know i already said it, but maybe some of you need to read it again:

"current time travel rate: a little under+1 second of time traveled for every 1 second that occurs"

as another idea, an experiment was done to prove time is passed differently for a moving object (thus creating time travel, but forewards only) an atomic clock was put on an aeroplane, another kept in its airport, the plane was flown around the world once and when it got back the two clocks were out of sync by something like 47 nanoseconds. This was not a one off because several people have re-done the experiment with the same result.

Interestingly, the difference was EXACTLY as Einsteins theory of relativity dictated it should be

Well, according to me, the wormhole theory involves a lot of science. Which sucks for everyone, because my dumb science teacher never checks homework, so I don't do it usually.

Time Travel is piss easy... I travel forward in time all the time!

That I'm down on my knees today,

Gives me away,
'Til I'm up on my feet again,
I'm feeling outshined.

By Muz's First Law of Time Travel:
Time can be compressed but not reversed

In other words, you can go forward in time slower/faster than others, but you can't go back in time. Going back in time is as impossible as finding the square root of a negative number.

I doubt it's possible to stop time entirely, just a max compression ratio of about 30000:1 or so, but I gotta research that more before making my Second Law of Time Travel.

And in order to compress time, you need a LOT of energy, though you don't have to process it much. Not sure, but I think about 1 kW should take you back about 1*(10^(-13)) or so. Even then, it's likely to slow down what it touches directly. In other words, if you wear a 'time travel suit', it's the engine that compresses the time around it, dragging the suit with it, then dragging you along with anything else nearby. Kinda like a time vortex thing.

Hmm... this gives me an idea for a game.

That is true.

If you where to travel at the speed of light (Not possible either) for about a year then when you return to Earth, Earth would of aged a good three hundred years. Even if you could go that fast - It has no use.

Oh crap, I feel a Micheal . r comming on...

Ok here we go.

In a news paper (Wow) A bunch of scientists at some
place found E=mc^2 false. Because E=mc^2 clearly states
that the speed of light can't be changed. However, when
these scientist guys shot light through (Somthing I forgot)
it slowed.

And I agree with this on no real evidence whatsoever.
(Light coming out of a light bulb could be different anyway)

Dude, shoot light through water and it slows down. That speed of light thing in the E=mc˛ thing is for the speed of light in a vacuum. Or rather, the speed of electromagnetic waves and all.

I saw this reactor once in an encyclopedia that showed something exceeding the speed of light underwater. Had this really cool 'light boom'. Not sure whether it's true or not.

Reality is perception people! How we understand something is how it is. Time is ultimately a man made concept. Seconds, minutes, years and dates are all just our way of documenting out antics are humans. Say for example, time actually didn't exist. We don't move through time as we go, just the content of space changes. It may still be the same second now, as it was when the dinosaurs were pissing in front of Fred Flinstone, just things have changed and occured to make everything different. Space changes, time doesn't exist.

Just another wacky tobaccy theory!
