I just got my new computer, & no MOO are working, they seem to want to connect & sign on, but once I try to send a message, it crashes or errors.

A firewall could easily lock the program. (Application firewall or inbuilt router firewall)

Make sure you are not running a firewall, or the firewall allows the program.

Another thing is, what are you connecting to? If you are trying to connect to 3ee.com or somthing, it wont work. You must have a MOS (server program) running, then you must connect to the computer running MOS. To do that you must retrive the remote IP address, or DNS name if you have that service, from the server. Im not sure if a computer can connect to itself if its running MOS, but im pretty sure, just use the local host IP if the remote IP doesnt work.

If you do have a firewall application (Most popular firewalls are like, Zone Alarm, or Sygate) you will see a icon in your tray. If you dont have a firewall application running, there is a default firewall that comes with Windows XP, tell me if you have XP before I tell you how to turn it off (Its not hard but im lazy)

If you have neither of these, and you are on a highspeed connection, it may be in your router, wich is used to route incoming or outgoing internet packets to the right computer, and the firewall filters these packets. Moo should work fine with a firewall unless the settings are tight (Controlled by a admin or other) or you have a proxy server. If you have access to the router, I can tell you how to edit the settings (Though I only have live experiance with Linksys routers, hopefully the settings are realitivly the same)

Anyway, this is the information you need to tell me.

Windows OS
Connection Speed
If you are on a LAN, how many computers are on the LAN, is the LAN at home or a biz, do you control the LAN?

Again, make > SURE < you are connecting to a LIVE server in your code! That could be your problem right there, and im talking my head off for nothing. If you dont know if your connecting to a live server, and want to know how, tell me first lol.
