Right now I'm using the joypad object by the warblast crew (z33z). Is there a better one? The directional conditions not very good for this object. I want something like "direction pressed" and "repeat while direction pressed" instead of the "compare to joypad's direction" thingy.
Thanks

I admit, I'm a noobie, but I'm not that much of a newbie. I wanted customizable controls with more than "fire1" and "fire2" so that's why I wanted a joypad extension. I'm making a game with about 6 buttons and 2 optional buttons. The problem is that I want my guy to go through a "stand up" animation after releasing a directional button. So far I am working with a PS2 controller converted to USB. If you have a PS2 type controller hooked up to your computer, I could direct you to what I already have.

Skinny, his question was well written and defined, you had you no right to call him a newb, and NOBODY apreciates it. If it was a joke, its understandable, define a joke like that next time. A newbie rating means absaloutly nothing here.
Sorry WP, afraid I dont know the awnser, just thought I would stick up for ya, you keep clickin.

Tit was a joke. I know nobody like being called a noobie.
I just didn't write it properly. - Sorry WP , I was tired.
Iv'e seen this done before in a game called Dark Wars.
Haven't got a clue how they did it though.

Oh yea, The customisable controlls where not in the game menu.
But actually within the programme with a multi task object.
The options where
-Bind new key.
-Set to default
So there is hope yet.

Don't apologise Skinny, it was obviously a joke and anyone that not only couldn't tell but was offended is what I like to call... a numb nuts bearer.
Show me the power child,

I'm feeling outshined.

Hahaha. I thought you were serious, but I definitely wasn't offended. I have been coding for about 2 months now, which I consider "barely initiated." In other words: newbie. Thanks for being considerate, though, Rycon.
I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about, Skinny. Could you elaborate?
Thanks

The control interpretor by Chris Branch is ok. It can get the angle of joysticks, directions buttons pressed. But I'm not sure if that's what you are looking for ?!?
