Hey, I'm having odd texture problems in jamagic. When I try to put textures on materials(which go on objects) they come out flat, and none of the commands like

Material_01.SetMapped(ON);
Material_01.SetEnvironmentMapping(ON,0);
landscape.ReplaceMaterial(Material_01);
landscape.SetGouraud(ON);

seem to work. Any ideas?

I also have another problem for 3D World textures. Whenever I set rendering to OPENGL or DIRECT3D textures are dragged across the object in long lines, creating a very queer effect. I searched the forums and couldn't find any similar problems, but any help, or ideas, appreciated.

This is a complete shot in the dark, but try setting the texture to the one that isn't Gouraud (I forget its name)

Lambert - Tried and it still happens.

I think I may have found the cause for the problem though. The UV coodinates seem to be messing up the textures.

If anyone knows lots about UV coordinates, you're welcome to enlighten me.

this is just a guess because ive never used jamagic

but the texture looks like its being stretched.
can you make the texture not be stretched and repeat itself like a tile?

I was going to say it has somthing to do with your UVW mapping, but I have no idea how you'd go about fixing that in Jamagic.

The texture is being tiled, but the wrong way. Instead of being laid on the polygon, it's at a right angle, and is being dragged across. Kind of like repeating the first line of pixels all the way along a polygon.

I don't know how UV coords work in Jamagic. They're responding oddly, and I can't get it to work right.
