Is it me or have the clickteam got their X and Y co-ordinates muddled up.
I have to work inside out when trying out ideas. The X co-ordinate becomes Y and the positive numbers become negative and vice-versa.
Am I going mad?

yes the Y axis is inverted (Y=0 is the top of the playfield rather than the bottom). that's the only thing though. X doesnt become Y :S.

In computers, the Y axis always starts 0 at the top and increases downwards. It's because the screen is drawn top to bottom.

If I remember correctly even bitmaps are the "wrong way wrong", that is to say they start at the bottom.

Looks like the X,Y graphs we used to do at school were totally pointless then?
So the top left hand corner of the screen will be 0,0 and bottom right will be 599, 799 for an 800 by 600 pixel screen resolution.
