I was thinking of doing another Mini-Comp, except with much more time involved (A month) the prize would be the old DC points again, and a little exposure for the winners. Now that I can actually make news posts and such hopefully there will be more entries as when this Comp gets off the ground I will post it on the frontpage. Anyway, what theme/gametype/etc. would you guys like to see in this comp?

a platform car racing game with gravity as realistic as possible... like the warthog in halo or something. or adjustable gravity, so if you hit a slope you go x feet in the air depending on your speed and the current gravity. t'would be a great test of coding skill for all those non-graphicy persons.
Yeah, I agree with Shen. It should be "Make the best game you can that features realistic physics." It would be much better than the usual old "Make a game based on this theme..." because it involves the actual design and coding of the game rather than its graphical appearance. It might exclude newbies, but any competition will be weighted towards those with more experience, so why not have one specifically geared towards them for once?
Assuming this is what the competition will be about, just make sure that at least one of the judges knows a thing or two about physics...

yeah, "realistic physics" is a better kind of arena for a comp than "realistic vehicle physics", i agree. oh btw, generally, competitions aren't usually designed for the inexperienced. they're a test for the more experienced members of a group. newer people can still see what's going on and learn a great deal from it, mind.

i have started to make one, so i cant enter :/ ?
i mean if they decide that to be the genre so cant i?
Make any kind (action, adventure, beat-em-up etc.)
of (offline) multiplayer game...(minimum 2 players)
(CO-OP NO STUPID BATTLE ARENA GAME)
At least 3 levels...
With the max filesize: 1,44 MB
With keeping graphics as low quality as possible, with keeping gaming fun as high as possible?
How about a 2 player turn based strategy game? Let us say 3 different types of units for both players, and no AI. (Although you'd get some extra DC points if you made an AI that was decent). Hows that Idea sound to everyone?
Screensaver? Boring! How is that any fun? How about the scariest horror game? Well, maybe the screensaver might be kind of fun... But sometime we should do a Horror game challenge, that'd be cool.
