The first one would be really good if you added some bass onto it. You don't even need anything complex, just a simple beat will do. I really like the last one, especially if it were faster.

Muz: I only know one person who even wants to play bass here, and i f I could have a band, that would be beautiful. Heck, no one even plays drums in these parts

DJW: I've been playing and taking lessons for about 2 years. I am actually in 7th grade, but I've been playing since 5th. (yes, i realize I'm probably young in comparison to the rest of yall guys)

Just Plain C eh? Whatever happened to normal tuning

I play in standard tuning (EADGBe) or drop D (DADGBe) when I need those 2 extra notes.
I don't see the need to drop down to anything like Drop C. Not a fan of overly heavy guitars.
Although I do drop down rather than up when playing tunings like DGCGCD which is Jimmy Page's 'special tuning', in particular when playing The Rain Song, or opening tunings like Open C (CGCGCE).

I've got some stuff on my hardisk i've recorded. Mainly just riffs or rhythm guitar lines to songs i've written. Nothing fully sik. Maybe one day i'll record some good lead guitar riffs when I could be bothered

Need some people for your band? What you could do it just get some of your friends and make them play whatever instument you need. Well, maybe not force them but ask if they'd like to. My band doesn't and we have trouble finding a person to play bass. Sucks royaly, aye? My friend Curt's bands pretty kewl, you can check out his band's site at www.desdinova.cjb.net.

I know someone that WANTS to play bass, but can't afford it... i do know someone who's getting a dijerydoo. But no drums or bass. Hmm. But really, thats what I'm already trying to do. I just haven't been very successful.

As for tuning, I just play normal, nothing special. Strings go EADGBE like most guitars. I just use a capo or something whenever i need a different pitch.

Alot of my mates are monkey see monkey do. 4 of my mates play guitar, 1 bought a bass, and 2 of my mates play drums. So if I ever wanted to form a band, well I guess I could. They just need to learn to play their instruments good!

I was bored so here's a little piece of music I recorded.
Based around the chord progression of C, Am, Em, G with a few improvised notes, licks and chord changes here and there.
The recording was a bit poor, but it sounds alright.
I cut it short at the end where I went into a distorted rawk out solo, which didn't really fit in properly.

Hopefully my dodgy webspace don't have a fit http://www.geocities.com/muggus69/Clean_guitar_piece.mp3

Enjoy

Hey, Muggus. I havent been on my computer for a while, so sorry about being kinda quiet. This piece is nice, and it reminds me of "Spit on a Stranger" by Nickel Creek. If you've heard the ending to the song, you might know why I'm talking about that, but it may have no relevance to you. Oh well, I like Nickel Creek. But anyways, tommorrow is probably the day I FINALLY, i mean, FINALLY, I mean,
FINALLY
get to visit the good ol' Tuscaloosa Music Service and get a buttload of strings for my electric, my acoustic, AND my mandolin, check my electric for why the heck it is so screwed up (it now can only produce a buzzing sound when hooked up to the amp), and put my over-caliced fingers (from having to play LUDICROUSLY old and over-used strings) to rest. Whew, I have a lot to do there. Maybe i can mooch, too, so i can work my way up to getting myself a new electric .

By the way, the way the song moves into the main chorus sounds really cool, and so far the only thing that song needs is lyrics, a nice ending (which wouldn't be hard to add with a slow tempo/moody feeling song like that), and a little solo part (not like a rock solo, but just a little fiddling-around before the end). Sounds really good, man (heck, I'm using accent in my typing now)

Thanks.
It's not a song i've really actually had an idea on how it would sound or what the lyrics would be about. It really started off with me just making a chord progression up, picking a few notes, adding hammer ons, pull offs, slides and improvising with them every once in a while. Unlike most of my other work, it don't actually have a proper tab, which is something I should work on.
