Alright people, here's the screensaver comp that it seems a majority of people want to see. But anyway, on to the rules.

1. Your screensaver must be posted as a reply to this thread no later than April 31st.
2. The screensaver must be no more than 2 megs in size.
3. The screensaver must use original GFX.
4. The theme is open, however keep it appropriate.

Prizes
1st - 25 DC Points
2nd - 15 DC Points
3rd - 10 DC Points
Honorable Mention - 5 DC Points

Well, there's all the information you need, and as always I will be going off the dates on DC. The judging may take up to a week as I am frequently busy with 2 jobs, but If I get the judging done sooner you will all know. Have Fun!

Also, looking for a co-judge, if you would like to co-judge, post here and I let you know if you're in. Co-judge will get some DC points. (25)

I'd like to co-judge, i have an extensive memory of rare games, so a game with ripped GFX from a japanese only game couldn't even get by me. Plus, it sounds fun.

Even if my offer doesn't go through, I'll take part.

Etch, I can honestly say that in the little more than 2 weeks you have been here, I have seen you break almost every rule around. My recommendation to you is to calm down, because if you don't you may find yourself on the short end of the ban stick.

I could judge. I'm not very good at programing enteresting screen savers, and can't do gfx worth anything. Besides, it would be fun!

btw, what are dc points for?

Ill volunteer as a co-judge aswell ... I may not excactly be a TDC celebrity (read famous/wellknown) ... however I do not tend to make fuss about myself ...

I know I havent posted any games here ... thats partly because Ive just quite recently become a member ... partly because most my games are/were old of date (and that Ive lost most of them) ... however I believe I can give constructive criticism and/or rate things ... you could take a look at the reviews Ive made here ...

Drop me a mail if youre interested ...

I can't enter since the screen saver I just made uses a graphic from Nascar.

I only spent a couple hours on putting it together so its not the greatest thing ever, but the Greg Biffle fan club members really liked it

I can give everyone the source so they can take a look:
http://www.flyin.com/Biffle/Biffle_Burnout_Source.zip

Download a finished version in an installer:
http://www.flyin.com/Biffle/Biffle_Burnouts.exe

Take a little preview of what it does via Vitalize:
http://www.flyin.com/Biffle/index.htm

Features:
A selection of 2 different cars doing burnouts.
(Via the settings in the screen saver control panel)

A preview screen for the windows screen saver display area

Works on any resolution of computer up to 2500 x 2500
(I do recommend 1024x768 or 1278x1024 for the best looking result)

That happens to me way too often Grazzum Make something amazing then all of a sudden comp freezes and a dark red line is displayed across monitor, that's when I know it's time to shut down from on/off switch...

On a funnier note, my grandparents got a second hand PC today and the default cursor was a bumbleebee and they phoned me up panicking saying their PC 'had a bug'.

After making the mile long bike journey to their house to discover the real 'problem', both were swiftly executed.

This is something I knocked up in about half an hour (not the actual 3D models, they took hours when I made them about a year ago.) It's nothing amazing, just if you're like me and love to watch Guinness settle, but hate having to wait to drink your actual pint, just stick this baby on and drink away.

P.S. I had to reduce the graphics quality to keep it less than 2mb, I have a high quality version sitting here on my PC.

Here's the comp entry version: http://www.asparagustrevor.nildram.co.uk/Rysoft/Guinness-lq.zip

you can send it in exe or gam, just make sure you include links to the extentions you use if you send it in .gam or .cca format, in case I don't have it. I tend to use only one extention (fastloops) so I don't keep a lot of them around.

Only one entry per person, however, just because you're posting screensavers here, doesn't mean that they are necessarily your entries. Here's what I'm going to do, Next sunday (8 days from now) I'll open up a new thread called Screensaver Mini Comp Entries. Post your FINAL entries there. Use this thread to show/off, get help/etc.

Any other questions?

There, I'm done, Heres my entry:
http://www.distinctiv-efair.com/heretic/buster/CrazyMan.exe

It's a sequel to my original Crazy man screensaver.

About:
It's a well known fact that when you get old you may become senile, and might start to loose your mind like the old man in my screensaver. To him it might seem like a good idea to use a shotgun to remove an unwanted squirrel from his house, but he is unaware that it will cause damage to his actual house. So watch the crazy old man as he fires his shotgun at the squirrel whilst destroying his house in the process.
