The following is a question refering to something that's been frustrating me for a long time, but first, i must explain the situation. I am making a game partly inspired by Castlevania, where you, an adventurer, must infiltrate a castle and discover why there are strange unusual monsters pooring out of the castle (i won't give away the secret yet )I have a monster that looks like a sculpture attached to a column with a lot of others that really are sculptures, that drops down and runs in your direction after landing, then teleports back after leaving the screen. I use an active object that when you overlap, is suppose to cause ONLY the monster above it to fall and run. Instead, every monster of its type falls down and runs in your direction. I've tried including "If monster is overlapping vision" in the condition to make only the monster that's particularly overlapping the vision object (which it is, don't ask me to check that plz ) to fall down (I figured that since most of the conditions involving a monster getting touched normally affect that particular monster that got touched when the action is performed, it would work the way i thought it would). I tried looking under special for restrictive actions, but the "do once when actions is repeated" and "only do once" only meant the entire action is done once at a time, not that it would mean the entire action itself would be performed. The odds are, what i just explained probably made little sense, but if you know what i am referring to or have even gone through this, then you'll know what i am talking about. Also, i am aware that i could make each individual monster another object, but that is EXTREMELY inconvenient and not worth taking the time to do (bcuz of the long event strings i would have to copy and slowly change to fit the individual monster). I know that what i am asking for IS possible, because by older bro has done something very similar (a blue and adorable little monster had a detection object in front of it, where if it detected you, it would shout "WEE!" and run after you) Plz aid me in my quest for a better game!

Yea!! I solved my problem by myself! Oh, and I'd like to thank everyone for their ABUNDANT COMMENTS! No really, i figured that because people go through this problem in the same sort of detection thing, I will make an article. Enjoy!
