JP, if you want a used car analogy, try this realistic view:

You test-drived the car. The car works, but the lights on the dashboard don't work. You buy the car under the condition that it's sold 'as-is', and that it can't be returned. You complain AFTERWARDS because the lights on the dashboard don't work.

Now, if what you say that the DEMO worked but the REGISTERED version doesn't, then it's something you've done. There's no difference between the two, except the registered version has no time limit and can build games. That's all.

I got mmf offa ebay for 20 or 30 dollars. I like using CnC but after I got my new computer with XP I had the very same problem with that. I emailed clickteam 4 or 5 times and they never replied. I am using game factory now and it works fine as far as guages and stuff but I dont like it, I just cant get use to mmf enough to wanna use it. The problem though is very annoying and clickteam doesnt like to help people. When they do reply usually they say you dont provide enough info even though you couldnt explain it any better and if you try explain it better they just wont reply.

It's unfortunate that everyone who choses to stick with old technology and refuses to move on will eventually run into a limitation or otherwise problem. It's like... like... those movies where it's in the future where people are going around using high tech weaponry and laser guns, but that one cop choses to continue using his old six shooter pea pistol!

You might have Ver 1.04 of TGF - the scrollers dont work in XP. You can download the TGF Ver 1.06 Update from Clickteam for free - fixes the problem.

For a new registered member, Fleshy, you sure aren't trying to make a very good impression.

MMF vs. TGF has already been discussed dozens of times... and MMF always ends up as the winner. Why?
-26 Alterable Values
-A LOT more extensions, and new ones come out every couple of weeks
-The ability to use ActiveX
-+200 number of animations
-Stronger (semi-transparencies at run-time, etc.)
-It's still supported!
Basically, read Tigerwork's article.
And the PRO version of TGF is definitely not worth it. You probably won't sell your TGF games, and if you do, you'll probably make very little profit.

pro has less bugs, and not that ugly-as-sin ending splash screen, You'd think after you buy their product, they'd give you the power to have release your game without having clickteam written all over it.

For an old registered user your sure acting like a prick Chamzel. "Let's face it, JP. This is a fight you're not going to win. "

It's not a goddamned fight, I just want my shit to work. Do you think your better than other people because you buy a better peice of software?

I dont know why you have to be an asshole to people in less fortunate positions than yourself.

I've never seen some1 use Active x
Animations amount easily fixed (for clickteam if they supported)
Alterable values.. u got extensions for this
And you forgot AGAIN how horrible the mmf gui is :] wich counts for 100 pros of mmf
cuz no good gui means stress

I'm new at this board, but im certainly not new at clicking, i think i had knp + cnc + tgf + mmf before you were born, and i don't care what impression you get from me, go keep whining about mmf, i bet you cant even create any decent thing in it anyway.

OH GOD WHAT DO I SEE ON YOUR SITE!!
Dragon ball z, sigh...

Ok, in that last post you just lost all credibility. MMF has a great GUI, it's just not as user friendly as TGF's. You have to re-learn where everything is, in effect. If you don't want to learn(like me for a year ) then you're screwed. It's a much more powerful product. Recently I've had to re-create some old TGF apps in MMF to get them to work on win2K and winXP. I'm surprised TGF works at all on those operating systems.

1. ActiveX is very useful. The problem lies in packing up the ActiveX object with the program/game itself so that others may use it.
2. There's no problem with the programs below MMF and animations. I just don't think they had in mind the idea of having more than 4 user animations until MMF.
3. Of course. Just need to make those extensions global, or otherwise make them load off an INI file or external source.
4. Horrible interface? I never had a problem with it before. People who say the interface is horrible only fail in the ability to adapt to new things. The only thing that stresses those people are the things they lack in.
5. I bet you wish that were true. I don't see what that has to do with anything about when who got what, but you need to read the terms of usage here linked at the bottom of the root of the boards. We don't need your attitude here.
6. Who's site? My site? I don't see any Dragon Ball Z. What a lame method of taunting, using such ignorant swings against the likes of me. You need to educate yourself a little more before making comments about my site and art. But I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

That all said, it would do us all a favor if you piped down your attitude. I hope the admins are paying you mind.

This debate and arguement over Clickteam and their support over TGF has long since passed and is over. I think it is about time the admins close the issue before it expands any further. Fleshy and JP, if you have any issues with me or have a general jerkish idiotic attitude, please present it to me through PMs and I'll deal with you both in private without burning up the boards.
