I was just thinking... instead of trying to beg someone for a squad engine, why not hire someone to help out with the game? I'd like to code the whole thing myself, but as it is, I don't have nearly enough time to do everything. I've already got some assistance with the graphics so all I need now is...
- A combat engine programmer dude (it's a squad-based hunt-the-ghosts type)
- A still graphics artist, who could help out with portraits, pictures of guns, furniture, etc

I could probably handle the story, unit design, polishing, research engine, data storage, character interaction, that kinda stuff...

So, anyone wanna be in?

Yeah Im in I can code a good engine in TGF and do good 3d renders, you could always port it and edit/compile in MMF.

Sorta like a squad based Luigi's Masion or a Ghostbusters on the master system sort of thing?

I meant squad-based as in X-Com style. But since turn-based squad system is so damn hard to do, I guess something like Fallout Tactics will do. Or maybe even a 8-dir multiple char control thing. Doesn't matter, as long as it's strategic-like.

Uh... there's an artist who's name spelling is different on email and the DC. "tobbe agge" to follow the DC spelling.

I've already started with it, though I've left the plans at home. I could send it to you by um... next time I'm online.

Oh... damn, did I mention it was supposed to be top-down? Next to impossible to draw good isometric animations with the average kliker skill, y'know. Sorry.

Yeah, I said I'd get the plans next time I was online, but I didn't think the internet would work today. I was thinking more of Wednesday .

So, Muz, you did go ahead with the creation of a X-com style game.

Well, you know, Im still interested in helping you out then. So if you need help with coding or story writing, just let me know.

Oh, and eh, I DC mailed you as well with some suggestions to the game.

If you knew, I would have to kill you...

Hey Muz what about these? I think an Iso game will be Miles better for something like this. (i have got to re render them as they have been resized etc)

http://www.championgames.freeserve.co.uk/ghostthingy.jpg
http://www.championgames.freeserve.co.uk/ghostthingy2.jpg

ive put copright on them as if everyone opts out of an iso game, i can use them for something else .

I think nost people can have a go at iso sprites, i have started some on paper but they look the "Real Ghostbusters" lol.

Just remember that true iso is at 45 degrees of the normals .

Come on Shab, its Ghostbusters!

HagarTech:
They look nice... but are you sure you really want to do it in iso? I mean, there's extra work and drawing it all would be a lot harder uless you do it in 3D. But I'll ask around to see if anyone else minds.
