It just dawned on me that there will be kids growing up these days who have never seen a Mighty Ducks film. And similarly there will be clickers who have never played Destruction Carnival!!!
Destruction Carnival is everything a click game should be, and made with K&P!!!
Get it at the underdogs:
Destruction Carnival is the game that introduced me to the world of Click. It's just amazing what Charles Tumino was able to do with the KnP engine -- particle effects, faked parallax scrolling, etc. Despite it's age it still holds up well compared to 95% of the games released on TDC.
Nah, I didn't really like it. It had ripped music, the particle effects weren't that great, and once again, the screen size is too big for the small sprites. It got boring within a few minutes.

Finishing Up Game Engine
Evil Monkey, when you consider that he released the game in 1997, that Klik and Play was never meant to do particle effects, that it was the first Click game I can think of that was truly professional in its presentation, and that almost every aspect of the game was ahead of its time (at least in the world of Click), I believe the game's status as a classic holds merit.
Which is why you donwload it from <a href="http://www.angrypixel.net/vreal/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=getit&lid=5">here</a>.
This game was as still is awesome. Yes, it had ripped music, but it fitted well with the game, and back then everyone was ripping music. Basically add what Kirby said, and also add the fact that it had strafing and amazing graphics, plus cheat codes, and you'll realize why Destruction Carnival was such a big hit. It's still a motivator today.
Destruction Carnival simply proves my point that story and graphics are more important than gameplay. It's got almost no gameplay at all... all you do is move around and shoot things. That's all. Nothing more. Well, maybe pick up other weapons and shoot tougher things, but no more besides that. I've seen some fun RPGs and action games made in KNP back in the old days... DC isn't really that special, besides the cutscenes.
Personally, I hate the game just because of being a motivator to one of the most overrated games in all of Click history: FactorX.
