Because it's easy, games are finished faster than games made in C, and you can sell stuff with it too

Cos I can't whistle.

Show me the power child,
I'd like to say,
That I'm down on my knees today,
Gives me the butterflies,
Gives me away,
'Til I'm up on my feet again,
I'm feeling outshined.

Because..... I always wondered when playing a video game "wow itd be cool if you could have this and that e.t.c". and its fun to be able to make your own game, and you pick up some skills on the way (drawing e.t.c).

Over the years i invented loads of little games and characters but they didnt get any furthur than concept art and mock up screen shots. But i didnt even have a pc until i started college.

i found a text adventure maker for my amstrad cpc but that was really outdated when i discovered it.
and i even tried a point and click sort of game with the gameboy colour but it was really limited too.

Clickteams products are the first way for me to actually make proper games. Im so glad i found a copy of the games factory for sale otherwise id still be using klik and play.

so basically because i love making games and want to show off my ideas.

i think click is a way to express yourself. it's just like drawing cartoons or writing stories, although ideally clicking combines a lot of these things and allows you to expand your ideas and create something more dynamic than a cartoon strip. also, the things you make require that the "viewer" - i.e. the player - is less passive (playing a game is more involved than reading a comic) and so you can have more of an effect on people. personally i don't see click as a gateway to a future job.

It's my goal to one-day make the single greatest freeware game ever produced and have my name become immortal... or something like that. Yeah, basically it's an ego thing.

I klik because I want to be a professional game designer. Click products, I think, zoomerate the process of learning programming techniques and planning our games ahead(for a few of us).

Oh yeah, and I guess I klik to get revenge on the chocolate chip who stole my 3rd kidney.

Real reason: I can make a C++ game now if I wanted to, I just don't have time to do it. Making games in MMF is much quicker...

I klick because I enjoy the challenge of taking an old vehicle like KnP and tweaking it until I can get the max out of it. I enjoy the convenience, simplicity, and speed of click team products. They allow expedient and satisfying results that make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

KnP is a simple tool that can do amazing things, and it makes me feel good when I discover new ways to use it.

That, and games are easier to make than most forms of visual storytelling and have a higher replay value.

RL excuse (to bimbos, ppl who don't know about computers, etc):
It's like a phase. When you've read everything, you end up writing for a challenge. Same goes for gaming.
