A new video of Mr Stumps Dentures 2: Tooth Decay. The music's done by me (an mp3 edit of what level one will be). A word of warning... its nearly 5MB, and there's just under a minutes worth of footage, so for some 56kers, you might not want to download this. Please give me your opinions

NOTE: I didn't steal those cannons from Mario.

It's looking good, that Blocky waterfall is trippy though. Shielded afrolicious goodness.

I thought you said you wasn't going to overhype this game as much as the first one? 2 Videos already!

Either tigerworks was mocking me or that was a very strange coincidence.

WHY DOES EVERYONE USE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER! I HATE WMP! Make an Avi! Not a Wmv!

-Above post is ancient and probably irrelevant-

An old account of mine, recently cleared out. It's a blast to the past, the age was marked as 14 when I found it. If you know where to look, you can track me. Au revoir.

I'm still trying to work out how you got such great custom platform movement in the first one - it's something I've been unable to duplicate

Actually, the first one grew on me - I played it once then left it for ages, but then I suddenly found it was great. And I'm still trying to get past that blasted Treetop Island 2 level.

news for idiotic microsoft bashers... wmvs are smaller than AVI and MPGs

yeah sure Keatonian, i'd be willing to download a 25mb AVI file when a 5mb WMV boasts exactly the same quality. we must also lampoon circy for failing to take into consideration of the thousands of clickers who don't use windows and who therefore can't play windows media files.

if you hate WMP so, Winamp 5 plays all windows media formats. www.winamp.com

Or there's Windows Media Classic, which is what I use - it's like WMP before it became the bloated mess that it is today.

Back to the contents of the clip - it looks like it's shaping up to be good indeed (I like the backdrop on the Green Hill-esque level in particular). I'm not sure about the old-school style display at the top, though.

Hype again...you've never changed...

we asked you to stop jumping and bumping, you insist.
we asked you to change your style, you want to keep it this way.
We asked you for something different, and there comes a sequel.
We asked you to stop hyping, and there you go again.

I'm losing respect for you.
And for something positive, i love the gfx and the music, it's looking good.

Looks alright if not similiar to the first. I honestly think, as do many others it seems, you need to spice things up as far as gameplay goes.
Have the player have a reason to need to use more than 3 keys.

Bleh I shoulda just resisted the urge to post something. I don't want to be seen as hyping up a game - although I now am - and I don't plan on releasing any more videos, ok?

Besides, I love making trailers and lol-ing at the fact they can be of a good quality

CYS: Weren't you the person who posted a massive MIGHTY preview and video recently? And take a look at Aces Curses, that's been hyped by you as well

Interestingly enough, I haven't actually started a proper level yet in MSD2. The footage will show what the outcome will look like with different tile-sets (and in MSD2, there'll be more set-peices and mini-games). The graphic style is similar to the first, but flatter (ie, theres no dithering anymore and the colours on each object are limited)

Well, I'm looking forward to it. I don't care about the fact he hasn't changed his style, I don't care that it looks like another 'jump and bump' platformer, and I don't care that he's hyping it. Everyone seems to be overlooking the fact that this is MSD 2, a sequel. How different should a sequel be to the original (OK, this just screams for someone to flame it, but please read on)? Sure, it's definately a MUST that you improve on the engine and/or gameplay mechanics, and it never hurts to add new ideas and concepts, but who's to say that Circy isn't doing this already? We've seen two short trailers of a game that hasn't even got one full level done, and we say the game doesn't offer enough. Give it some time, my son!

Yes, well, about the trailer itself. The waterfalls (and backgrounds in general) look good, as do the larger (not much larger, though) sprites. The music is very "modern retro" (yes, a contradiction in terms, but fitting), too.

The first MSD took 2 years to complete, and you are saying this one is estimated to come out late 2004? You have definately 'evolved' as a Klikker throughout your work on MSD, I don't doubt that at all, but what makes you think you'll finish this game quicker than the first? Just curious

You mean, he *has* boss design skills (I think all of the MSD bosses were featured in platform games before)
