You can use the Direct Show extension, also. You probably should use WMA instead of MP3, MP3 is an old obsolete format and is inferior to WMA.

99 percent chance that the above post is 100 percent correct.

ModFX 2 Locks up the game when u try to shut it off. I use DMC2 for my MP3's, it works perfectly.

Directshow has no external DLLs and is free for commercial use so is a better choice than DMC2.

I couldn't download ModFX2 from the website you gave me...

With DMC2, I didn't succeed playing MP3 files with it! The only thing I can play with it is WAV sounds using AutoPlaySample.

Can you please tell me how to play MP3 files? I did just what the HELP file said, but I still think I miss something...

Yes, DirectShow has been mentioned twice already.

You could try DirectShow, I hear that's good for playing MP3s.

if you are using the dmc2, to play mp3's, you need to do:
start of frame

= initialize bass

end of frame
= terminate bass

then for playing the actual song you need to do: Open stream and Play Stream

Thank you all! I use now DirectShow, and it works perfectly playing MP3s!
It came with MMF I think, I didn't need to install it from an external file...

Ah yes, I see I have it also. Either it came on MMF or my friend installed it a while back then, heh. It freezes for a moment before starting something though, like if changing the rate or whatever.

Direct Show & ModFX 7 both locked ChaosKeins2 up when I tried to exit. DMC2 is the only thing that worked so far.
