Hi, I think I may be posting in the wrong place but oh well...With any clickteam product or game made in a clickteam product I seem to get this problem randomly. After testing a game I am working on awhile or playing a game someone else has made in game factory, mmf, cnc, or whatever. It will continually loop whatever sound was playing the last second or so before the error kicked in constantly while the game is frozen. The only way to get the game to move is to press and hold a button or to move the mouse constantly. Any sounds that play though while doing that will continually loop as well. If anyone knows how to fix this I would appreciate it and would be willing to help them with anything they might need if I can.

Also...if you are running the click product and the error occurs while testing, after you close the game even the editing screen is frozen, nothing will be animated unless you move the cursor or hold a button so you have to close the program completely and reopen to make it stop...of course one you test play again it will happen shortly after once again.

I have tried to make it not play multiple samples...putting "only one action event loops" on every sound even I have, that doesn't help at all because the error happens at any completely random moment a sound starts to play whether a bunch are playing at once, or one over and over, or an instance where the sample is just played one time. You never know when it is gonne kick in, it just happens when any random sample occurs at some random time in the game...So annoying....

I want to fix this problem so much, PLEASE someone help me if you can.

Yep, that bug has been around since the KNP days. It's pretty sad that MMF 1.5 still has the same bug that KNP had. It actually only happens on certain computers though. I have one computer in my house that it happens on but it does not happen on the other computers. Also, many people have never seen it happen so it must be fairly rare. The only way to fix it is to use something like Direct Show or DMC2 and store the sounds externally to the application. Also, MMF 2 has a new sound engine so this bug will most likely be gone finally.

Thats the only way to avoid it huh? It's so annoying I cant believe they cant just release a patch to fix it or something. I have used click games, and the various products on over 10 computers and this is the only one to ever have it happen on. I just made my mini golf game with multi samples and I couldnt even test all the levels fully because this problem would always occur. Oh well guess im pretty much stuck..
