Well, Microsoft finally released an unbuggy version of Service Pack 2. And I was telling my Dad about it, telling him to download it, saying how it'll help make his computer more secure, from hackers and viruses.
Then an idea hit me. I decided to create a fake virus program in MMF. A flashing blue full-screen dealie. And when my Dad was distracted with the football / athletics, I took my chance and ran it on his computer. Then rushed upstairs.
Suddenly:
"Chris? Have you been playing with my computer?"
"No Dad... why?"
"A blue screen has come up, it's flashing with large words: this... is... a... virus!!!... and I can't get rid of it."
"Try ALT and F4, Dad."
Of course, I disabled that.
"It's not working!"
After he was perplexed for about five minutes, I went downstairs and started laughing, telling him that I made it in MMF. I had ensured that if a certain button was pressed (in this case, it was "-"), the program would shut down.
Except, it didn't.
His computer crashed.
My Dad was pissed. Like I've never seen him before.
Especially when he had three hours of un-saved Microsoft Money accounts on his computer.
In the end, he restarted it. Word of advice: If you decide to try a prank on your parents, ALWAYS check that you have the latest version of CNCS32.DLL

Hahaha did the exact same thing circy, Blocking ALT+F4, Alt+Tab and Ctrl+alt+del use Control x disable all keys and ythe window object and have the window fullscreen and have it always bring to the front and there you have it
I remember back in the win95/98 days i made a similar program in Turbo Pascal telling my mom her computer would melt down and stuff. Ofcourse i made this file start in the autoexec.bat file, so the only way she could use the computer again was if i let her
I made a game, and I installed it on the computers at my old school. I included a nifty little function where if you hit a certain key a mock version of MS Word appeared and gave the impression you were doing work. I forgot to make it stop the sound and music though, so naturally we were all busted. I was the most hated individual in the world for a while there.
I made a virus once in MMF for a friend, he wanted to infect the virus in someone else's computer. (My friend would then make sure the program is started for the first time ) When it started, it made a shortcut to itself to the Startup folder, and it displayed a counter with "Computer will shut down in 15 seconds". So when the computer was shut down by it, it restarted itself. The only way to disable it was to type "I AM GAY"
