I know I shouldnt do this, but I'm kinda disappointed on what little feed back my game got despite all the work I put in. Also, I have a caffine headache, so I'm probably not thinking straight.
Calling pople out is pointless, so yeah, there really isnt a need for me to do it, so dont worry about anything like that comming from me.
I'm mostly putting this up as a friendly reminder to check my game out, I mean I wanted it to appeal to fans of anime in general, or Mario Kart or RC Pro AM.
This is probably one of the few Mario Kart clones that has gotten THIS far into production with one man doing most of the work, of course getting coding help here and there. Again, if you played one of the earlier demos I put out, you must try it again. I didnt take all of the suggestions light-heartedly. All the new features are in the game's description page.
I guess I could use this topic as an FAQ, you can ask me anything you want on this project. But right now, I suppose I should answer the questions.
Secondly I'll explain the character choice. All four of the characters from the respective shows pretty much got me into anime, not to mention other people as well. Goku and Serena/Usagi pretty much started the bar of anime in other areas outside of Japan. So what about Ash and Ranma? Well Ash is my favorite anime character, well rounded nice guy who slips up every once in awhile, I kinda relate to him, especially when he just doesnt get whats going on.
Ranma is there because it was the second anime I ever liked (Yes, Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball came last to me) even after all these years, I hold this series over the creator's other big-time work, Inu Yasha.
You're probably thinking that its a strange mixture of characters who would just randomly board a go-kart and fling turtle shells, erm, sorry, electrodes at each other, but if you think about it, it does seem like a good mixture
Ash/Satoshi - Monster Trainer
Ranma - Martial Artist-to Be
Goku - The Super Strong Man
Serena/Usagi - Magic Girl
Not to mention all 4 characters have some strikingly similar characteristics. Cocky, gluttonous, dumbfounded, compeditive, helpful chums.
Thirdly I made this into a kart game for a few reasons. My most favorite genre of video gaming has to be character kart racing. This is pretty much a shoutout to all the character kart racing games out there. Also, most anime games in general are just generic, unbalanced Street Fighter clones. Sometimes an RPG or a puzzle game. When has there been a kart racing game?

Now thats homework, isnt it? Although you might say Smash Bros. doesnt count for Pokemon, but I say its so, I'm just trying to prove a point. I think making a character kart racer, using their super awesome moves and putting it into wacky situations would make a stellar kart racing title. Which is why I think the special attack bar (Taken from Sonic Heroes and Sonic Adventure 2) sets it apart from other racing games and makes an appropriate tactic addition to the genre.
Too much reading just so you can advertise. It's only a demo, relax. Maybe when you're finished it'll recieve the attention it deserves, but I for one never download/don't give a shit about klik demos.
It should be noted, further to my profound hatred of the acronym "LOL", I also have a profound hatred for anime.

I like anime, but I don't like the shitty americanized crap in this game. Pokemon (after the first series), Dragonball and Sailor Moon all suck filthy pygmie rectum. Ranma˝ is cool, but only the series; the OAVs and movies are bleagh.
i dl the demo but as it was a demo i had no initiative to ever finish it.
i thought the movement was really smooth. i think its great but needs to be finished to get the full attention it deserves
i like the Pokemon games. but im sick of kiddy anime... bloody Digimon, Totally Spies (yeaaaa all you anime buffs wont call it anime because of its american origins but gawd dammit its anime style) and such
It's kinda anime, it's just written, directed, and produced by some american company, but they farm out all their animation to some studio in Korea I believe.
The closest to american anime would be the original Fox Batman cartoon, that series is still one of my favorites of all time. I would say teen Titans too, but that's done the same way that Girl spies or whatever show is done, the animations farmed out to a decent animation company.
The characters from Cowboy Bebop should be added..
Trigun characters should be added..
Lupin the Third and Jigen are cool too, so they should be added also..
