I know you guys aren't millionaires or anything, but any help would be appriciated.
Hurricanes Charley and Francis screwed us up bigtime. Our insurance deductible is really high, so we're going to end up around 3,000-4,000 dollars short. We also had to stay in a hotel for a week because the water and power wasn't functional in our house. This adds about $800 dollars more onto that.
We don't know where this money is going to come from. My dad scrapes by every month with only like $20 misc. money left over from the bills. I know our situation isn't bad compared to a lot of the other people who were impacted, but we really need the money right now.
Looks like your house got quite lucky. Loads of other places were flattened. Still, at least you're alive and safe, thats the important thing.
As stated on the front page, if anyone mocks him or laughs at his situation, I will instantly and without warning delete that persons account from The Daily Click. Harsh, but fair. Be VERY careful what you say.
I never actually thought insurance would ever be useful. Always seemed like a useless gamble to me...
Oh, and deepest sympathies and all that. Hmm... does your government/town/local philantropic group give out damage compensations or anything? They'd normally give out some money around here in the case of a disaster (natural or not).

Man... thats all?
You will survive, i've been in africa and with that money you can help more then 500 people in africa!
They live in slums!
But i do wish you many luck, its not funny when the weather changes your home into what it is now.
But your not almost death you know
We asked FEMA for help, but they're too busy with people who had it way worse than us. We kinda got screwed by the hotel too because they jacked up their prices to an insanely high amount.
Thanks everyone.
PS - I like Hamish's smart assed comments. What did he say?
That's really shitty, I would be pissed off to the max. Isn't there another hurricane coming your way? the 4th one or something? Crazy Stuff. Keep cool and keep under covers
LOL PETE. My dad actually considered doing that. The highest you could get for this peice of junk is 200 dollars. I had to beg him not to.
We're thinking about selling our camper, but my mom is against that because she's wanted one all her life and just got it last year. We definately aren't going to be able to pay all of the bills this month, so we'll probably end up selling something of value. I used to have a pretty good stamp collection but I don't know what happened to it.
well, I don't have any money to donate but seeing as you have a gmail account, you might be able to put some invitations up on ebay, I'm sure someone would pay a lot of money for one of those. I wish you luck with getting enough money.
Edit: After searching through ebay I found gmail invites ranging from $0.01 to $99.99 for a pre-existing gmail account... so you might be able to get a good deal for one, or you might get almost nothing, but something is still better than nothing I suppose

As a boy, I wanted to be a train. I didn’t realize this was unusual—that other kids played with trains, not as them.
Around here, anything that sells for $200 is EXPENSIVE. I'd have to be rich if I could offer even $10 to someone I met on the internet. Even if I had the money, stupid Paypal doesn't accept a terrorist country like this.
BTW, couldn't you just like... fix your house? Some scrap wood, nails, and just a tiny bit of knowledge should allow you to do it yourself. Your house is still there right? That link to the pics don't work.
