PC User features The Spirit Engine
News posted 2nd March, 2004 by ShadowCaster
This month, Australian PC User has included a copy of Natomic's The Spirit Engine between its covers with two other freeware games (though I'm not sure how much of a game "WordSearch" would be ).

This shows you just what can be achieved if you put a lot of hard work into producing a game. TSE features alongside many other professional games and applications available on the CD provided. Be sure to check it out at the link above if you haven't already, or grab a copy of Australian PC User (April 2004) for more details.

The graphics and music in the game are good, but I don't like the gamplay.

TSE isn't quite my cup of tea, but it's definitely a quality game. I think it's great that it got this kind of recognition.

I like the engine, graphics and music...but somehow the game isn't fun.

I guess putting in lots of efforts won't get your game into the magazine or even a GOTW. You need one word : SKILL of course, TEAMWORK is important as well, or you won't be able to hear such wonderful music from TSE.

The engine actually looks easy to make.

Danjo: It was on the front cover of PC user as well, and on one of the CDs you get with it. If you scan the cover I'll put it on the front as well (in same post, I'm not going to start another :))
