GOTW's #160 - The Colors II and Joe's 48 Hour Quest
News posted 26th November, 2005 by The Chris Street
Rather irritatingly, there is once again a double winner for GOTW. Congratulations to Peblo and Aggggge for their respective games The Colors II and Joe's 48 Hour Quest. Now I have to make an extra effort for the GOTW image, thanks a lot, voters.

This weeks entrants - Particle Pursuit, Zapit Compression Agent, Pig Pong, and Ball Attack.

Well, we knew the influx of games would dry up; it was a case of "when", not "if"...

Wow, the 48 hour games won. Nice job, Agggggge!

wow, the 24 hour game won. Nice job, Peblo.

Posted by Peblo 26th November, 2005

Well, you get the GOTW page anyways. I guess the server isn't coded for when 2 games win.

Posted by axel 26th November, 2005

I'd rather had lost than have to share GOTW -_-
Nothing personal, Peblo, but it's just that it's retarded to brag about getting a shared 1st price in something, but then again it's retarded not to mention it. Why can't we have some sort of Sudden death system or something. Pick one at random, but not this >.<

Am I making sense?

We could always mud wrestle over it. I doubt the admins would let us get the website dirty though.

how long did that take to get inline?

Posted by axel 27th November, 2005

Almost none at all

I made an app where you can draw stuff with smileys, then it converts it to text that you can copy and post here

Posted by Willy C 27th November, 2005

how long did you use on making that APP...?

Posted by X_Sheep 27th November, 2005

Hmm... what happened to the What Happened This Week this week? (and previous ones)

Posted by Keatontech! 27th November, 2005

I WANT THAT APP!

What the? That was supposed to be a big smile. The code generaty thing is broken

Posted by Keatontech! 27th November, 2005

This looks like it should work

Posted by Keatontech! 27th November, 2005

YAY! Hmm, it's kinda messed up tho. Oh well, maybe I should get back on subject. I wonder why the 48 hour games won, most of the other submitions were probabally worked on longer.

Posted by Peblo 27th November, 2005

To tell you the truth, all of the games that were nominated for GOTW were pretty bad as far as quality goes. Not to say that this GOTW is any better...

Posted by Gus Stevenson 28th November, 2005

Hey, I thought both Colors and Joe's were a lot of fun!

Posted by axel 28th November, 2005

@Sir Farts-a-lot: Yea, it's not perfect. It gets a bit messed up since a smiley isn't exactly two linebrakes in width

Posted by X_Sheep 28th November, 2005

What you could do is let the smileys alternate.
and so on.

Oh, and make the maximum size larger

Posted by axel 28th November, 2005

Update: Version 1.2

-Larger maximum size
-"secondary smiley" support
-Switch use of < CODE> tag on/off

Bratwurst?

Posted by 29th November, 2005

in the GOTW section there's only:
Joe's 48 hour Quest
Created By: Aggggge [One Hand Writers]
below the text... the same thing for the other "twice wining"

Posted by axel 29th November, 2005

Like Peblo said up there, appearently the GOTW page isn't coded for two winners.

Posted by X_Sheep 29th November, 2005

DaVince - Indeed. Ever seen Mastermovies?
