New Deadline
News posted 23rd December, 2005 by The Chris Street

Thursday 29th December at 10pm GMT

Because the Daily Click was messing about on the day of the deadline I have decided to extend the competition end until this Thursday. Before you submit your application, I strongly urge you to check out the RULES page just to double check everything has been satisfied. In addition, you should click the URL which links to www.timeanddate.com to see when your country time matches GMT. This URL is on each of the competition pages at the top. You can't miss it.

Good luck to everyone.

24 hours and 20 minutes you mean

Well yeah but I can't be bothered to.. you know... meh.

I guess its a little late to get started on my project, eh?

Sorry if the page screwed up just then. I think Clubsoft was just adding some Christmas lights...

Posted by Clubsoft 23rd December, 2005

Dont blame me for your oversized text

Posted by Willy C 23rd December, 2005

I better get started then!

Posted by Bibin 23rd December, 2005

jeez, that's 7PM for me.

Posted by The Chris Street 23rd December, 2005

I blame everyone for everything.

Posted by hishnak 23rd December, 2005

why, you some anti-Christian bigot.

Posted by Dustin Gunn 23rd December, 2005

Uhh well technically this time of year has little to do with Christians. A while back some very smart Christians decided a smear campaign against pagans ("Country people") and that included assimilating most of their major religions, such as "Yule" (In which they decorated a pine tree with candles). The more you know!

the easyest thing is to blame me.
then it's blame club soft
the deadline time here is on midnight... so it's 24 dec or 25?

Posted by CYS 24th December, 2005

Submitted...2 times!

Posted by en kerro 24th December, 2005

In Finland, deadline is at 12'o clock in midnight. Just between Christmas eve and Christmas day...

Posted by Cazra 25th December, 2005

I just submitted mine. TDC has been screwing up all day, so I couldn't get it in earlier.

I'm still not showing any screenshots(except to the judges).

Posted by Cazra 25th December, 2005

and TDC was screwing up yesterday

Posted by DaVince 26th December, 2005

Well, this news posts isn't quite right anymore...

Posted by Bibin 26th December, 2005

pft, and now it's over. Yesterday it was all "error 500 page cannot be displayed"

Posted by Bibin 26th December, 2005

and i beleive it's merry christmas, not happy christmas. But it doesn't really matter!

Posted by DaVince 26th December, 2005

Happy and merry are both correct English.

I'm with Smeby, Christmas makes an appallingly dull game theme! And worse, it confines the game to being a once-yearly novelty! Game-making is a serious commitment... :- )

Posted by Cazra 26th December, 2005

yay! I have time to make one more of the cut out levels!

Posted by CYS 26th December, 2005

5 extended days...a little too much. In fact, tdc only go in one day.

Posted by The Chris Street 27th December, 2005

Yes, you might be right there.

However, there might also be some people who have given up hope of entering the competition as they thought they missed the original deadline. Those people might have spent time away from the computer over Christmas (I know I did) and not realise.

Posted by CYS 27th December, 2005

If only there's a way to know when the game was last modified...

Posted by Radix 28th December, 2005

Dustin Gunn: The whole season is sorta Yule, Xmas itself is the festival of Saturnalia (christianity is mostly Sol Ivictus with bits of Mithraism).

"If only there's a way to know when the game was last modified... " there is...I think, You can check the properties on the file and check the date on last modified. But I think you can cheat by reseting your Computer clock

Posted by CYS 29th December, 2005

i believe that if the file is downloaded onto yer computer, the properties would be different...or maybe not

Posted by DaVince 31st December, 2005

Fresh downloaded files have the download date as a last modified date, but not when zipped, then they maintain the original modification date.
