New Shareware - Robotopia
News posted 4th August, 2006 by Assault Andy
A well known DC Donator, Kisguri, has recently submitted an amazingly professional looking game titled Robotopia. You only need to look at the screenshots to realize that you need to play this game. It is great to see Clickteam products being used to create shareware and you can support Kisguri by purchasing the full version of Robotopia for only $17.95.

Comments from the Author:Robotopia is an all action, fast paced shooter that takes you online to stage epic battles that span across a beautiful multi-scrolling world. Here you can play flag games where players battle to hold points across the landscape. Or play as bounty hunter where allegiances can be made as players fight for robo currency. Either way you are going to be caught up in some intense action making strong allies and fierce enemies!

$17.95 is not "only" for a click game for me I'm afraid. It has got to be a hell of a game to make me spend that kind of money on an amateur game. I would set a tag on something more like $5. But I wish him best of luck with this game! Rock on.

Looks great! The price is more than fair. Whats $18 bucks buy you these days? Maybe a decent meal. Half a tank of gas. A Dvd. Psst! . Gotta support the gaming underground I say! I'm pretty sure I'll buy it. Power to the Underground!

I wouldn't have a problem buying if I had the money sitting around. $10 sounds more reasonable though, seeing as you could pick up games similar to this as far as indie vs main stream, in a "bargain bin", sorry to say.

I have enough trouble selling some of my games for $2.50 and $5, although this is obviously much better produced than my stuff so who knows? I think the $17.95 price tag may scare many away (as awesome as this game looks). Good luck and I hope you can sell a lot, as it's better for all of us in the long run!

The price tag seems a lot for people here at TDC, as we are used to seeing mainly freeware games. However on shareware portals $17.95 is quite reasonable. I hope it sells well.

It's not reasonable when you're used to getting it for free
