Ahhh Pekos world is coming to life! With inspirations from rayman for the music and sounds. Johan Harnge is currently helping out with the music for Peko Falls.
Ive got some new screen shots, thigns are finally starting to tie together for this first level.
Ive decided to add -Nick- to my project because without him i wouldnt have been able to learn how to use MMF to how i wanted to! And i would feel terrible and mean if i didnt give him credit! Hes helped with so much of it i think he needs to be seen as a project memeber even if hes got his own projects going on at the moment
Im thinking up ideas and ways i can get some game art done for the main menu and in game things aswell. Its all very exciting, providing the music happens, and i manage to program everything to how i need it to be, im hopefull things will be done for level 1 with in a few weeks.
Which brings me to my next point, Demo time. Im gonna pick a few people to test the final of level 1 to see what they think. If i get good feedback i will release it as a demo game just to give people an idea of what will be coming in the game.
Sorry they look terrible, i havent the time to do them in PS so i did them in paint really quickly, will get some better screen shots up soon ^^
I love the trees (you missed the forum thread about trees, you'd have loved/loathed it!) and i love the postbox, very British and a very nice touch - I'd love to try your demo!
+1 to the postbox.
I think though that the tree leaves are too spherical. Be sure to save screenshots as PNG's too. Jpegs and pixel art don't mix so well.
...which is why i like it, traditional platformer look about it. Trees are just background or platform pieces and don't need to look too realistic; they just need to look good (which they do).
