Placeholder game lobby 'n stuff
Posted 5th Apr 10, by HitmanN
Decided to start working on a menu screen for the game. I consider it a placeholder for now, though with some tweaking it might be fine as an actual game lobby/setup screen too. (See first screenshot on the side.)

Also added the info of current turn number and player at the bottom left. (See 2nd screenshot)

In addition to the above, I've made a bunch of tweaks and bug fixes as well. Not much new content, so there's still some stuff and features to be added, but once again the first release is one step closer. I think I might even spread some test builds to some people very soon, maybe later this week. I've already chosen who I'm gonna let test this first, so no begging at this point. ;P There may be a second testing phase later, before the official release and that's when more people will get a chance.

Stay tuned.

Why would anyone beg for this game?

jk!

I hate playing multiplayer games on the same computer, much less a turn based one.

Online mode?

Dude, i LOVE multiplayer on the same PC (that's why i made my game R.P.G. Rocket Propelled Guts!) as it's just like the old days of split-screen. Out of curiosity, is it online too?

Yeah, ditto - I love multiplayer games on one PC (same for me with Ye Olde Knights of Yore Deathmatch). Far more sociable, and you get to have a proper laugh.

Online multiplayer will hopefully come later. I'm gonna get all the core features done first before I start looking into online-ising the game. If there's problems even with offline game, then there's no point going online yet. That's my main principle. Also, I want to see if people even remotely like the offline version, before committing to adding other modes.

So basically, one step at a time. First step being offline multiplayer.
