Like mentioned earlier, I've been busy with another project (two or three actually) this month, and will remain so for couple more weeks.
This doesn't affect "Tank Game" much more than just slowing down the first release a bit.
Testing continues, and I'm even planning on trying changing the whole energy system from the current 'partially restore unit energy each turn' to 'fully restore energy each turn'. However, unless it manages to make the game a whole lot better, it won't replace the old setup, but rather remains an option. Fully restored energy means that keeping units idle no longer has any real benefit, and that most weapons can be fired every turn once they've been unlocked. It should make the game faster and remove most need for camping, but it will also make the game less tactical because of defensive maneuvers losing effectiveness. Whether that is good or not will need to be tested, but potentially it could make the game more enjoyable when you don't have several hours to invest in a match.
All in all, it seems doubtful at this time that "Tank Game" would be publically available until the end of the month, so you just gotta wait a bit longer. :3 It's looking really good though. Once the first release is done, I'm planning on looking at the level editor, so there's more levels to play with. The current one restricts usage of units such as artillery a lot, since the only place where you can effectively such units it is near the center of the map, which has most open space.
Anyways, more about "Tank Game" in the coming weeks.
