New Screenshots and update!
Posted 25th Apr 11, by Beau
Hey all! Another monthly update for Wyv and Keep: The Temple of The Lost Idol. Progress has been continuing steadily and we now have the main gameplay where we want it in preparation for a demo release within the next few weeks. The demo will showcase 5 unique levels for the game, including multiple traps to experiment with. At that point, a preorder system will be introduced for people interested in the full game, which will grant access to special features prior to the game's release, including the map-editor (shown in a screenshot below), and updates to the gameplay as they are released (new traps, new templates and the online multiplayer mode). We're really excited about all the upcoming features and the demo release itself. It should be fun to see the comments we get back in the first public preview. See you all soon! Preview

Stoked to see that a level editor will be included.

Will there be a simple way to integrate the difficulty levels that are there for the main game, or would one simply create a level with different assortments of puzzles to adjust the difficulty?

(I mean, maybe that's what you do anyway: create a separate level for the regular difficulty, and then another level for the easier mode. Just curious...)

When we were doing our easy mode levels, we took the finished normal difficulty puzzle and then demade it slightly. Either removing traps, or simplifying the puzzle elements. With the map editor, players could do whatever they wanted to do. Its a highly flexible level making engine with infinite layer depths and a high-degree of object interaction to explore.

Is the text in the second shot place holder graphics?
