-Hazard is sadly no longer in development-
Hazard is a FREE, fast paced, side-scrolling combat shooter. It is not a "warfare" game, which means no vehicles, armor-piercing rounds or anti-vehicle weapons.
The game is set to a dystopic future where corporations rule the world and engage in urban warfare for multiple sinister reasons.
Hazard features a variety of different weapons, sidearms, equipment and gadgets, and your character is fully customizable with both useful and aesthetic equipment.
Online gameplay will have several game modes, and only dedicated servers (Which means no matchmaking, yay)
Hazard will be released when I can arse to make it.

What is the difference?

You might ask yourself, "What is the difference between the old and the new engine?"
And it's simple really;
The old engine wasn't fastlooped, the new one is.
One major dilemma though, is that the editor relies on backdrop objects, while some features we really want to implement need the world to be made out of actives. (Physics objects like grenades, raycasting enigne etc.)
My original plan is to make the game with backdrop objects, and as bug-free and lag-free as possible and release it. Then maybe make an update or a 1.5 with the actives. Don't get your hopes up though, it's still a lot of work to get there.

[Read the last devlog first please]
So I decided that I'll release two applications in the same archive. One will be the oldest working engine. The other one will be what we got to in the end, but with all unfinished features removed and replaced with the old stuff. The second one will be closer to what the game should be like, but a lot more bugged due to it just being thrown together in one night.

So after many years I've decided to release what we've been working on for so long. Probably already tonight. This game might not be dead, it's just that a lot of things needs to be redone or fixed (like deep fixes).
All I need to do is wrap what we've already got working in some nice summery gift paper and then upload it.
Look forward to see what we had cooking all those months and years ago.
