Massacre is the sequel to the game I made for the Halloween compo on http://www.gamebuilder.info I'm sure some of you have played it. It was called Slaughter. You know the game in South Africa with the terrible controls? Luckily in Massacre I've switched to mouse controls.
The setting and story of Massacre is also a lot different tha Slaughter. In Massacre, you're in a Brazilian village that is being terrorized by a Mayan tribe that uses the villagers for sacrificial purposes. You, Marco, get involved in this while shipping a strange yet familair shard of rock to an archaeologist in the area,(The rock shard should ring a bell if you got to the end of Slaughter), eventually this connects to the storyline that took place toward the final levels of Slaughter, especially with the final boss and such.
The game also features less straightforward gameplay, now it's open world and about exploring more. You'll be able to fully interact with the village and buy weapons in it. Sidequest and melee weapons are a possibility...
This is a trailer, but it's a bit old compared to the interface improvements that have gone through now. So this is a trailer with the old interface...

Yeah, very long, since 5th April 2009.
This project is pretty much abandonned, it's official now. I thought about uploading the original file for Massacre as abandonware, but despite some cutscene stuff and etc, I don't think it would really be that much worth it.
But around Jan. of 2010, I started working on a remake of Slaughter(the prequel to this game) and never finished it. It had much better coding and included 360 shooting and a better inventory based off of Resident Evil 4, as well as a level up system based on kills.
Okay, I got a new interface made. I think it looks pretty awesome. It's got some really original counters, that were extremely painstak...
I have to take a huge thanks out to sheexy for designing the Health EKG using Trig. It works perfectly! The wave depth and length decrease depending on your number of lives. I wish I could do something that awesome...;_;
Well, inspired by Medal of Honor: Spear Head, I made a really cool, but painstaking ammo count. What made it hard was that I had to make it an active object with the frame set to the number of ammo left. It actually lowers the number of shells in the picture when you shoot!
Okay, usually people don't reply to stuff like these, but hey, prove me wrong. The beggining for the project is almost finished, pretty long for just a beginning actually. If you feel so inclined, I need playtesters so I can have someone elses opinion about it. Thanks to anyone who replies!
Okay, it's not really a jungle it's a rain forest, but you get the point. When you leave the village in the game you will wind up in the rain forest of Brazil. The forest is a very open area with lots of alternate paths and enemies are everywhere. You can earn a lot of money to buy some new weapons by just walking around the jungle shooting the many enemies there.
Oh yeah, and I posted some more of the cutscene art.
