Project Overview
As a trapmaker for a bunch of dungeons, you have to design a combo of traps in order to prevent anyone from entering. You'll have to arrange these traps in the right way to stop invaders.

Sometimes a simple trap will stop the enemy. Sometimes you need a more advanced combo, slowly wearing down the enemy, before you could defeat him. Sometimes it's more of hitting the enemy before he realizes that the place is full of traps. Or you might have to find a way to trick the enemy into triggering a trap that he can't evade.

This is a resurrected project from a few years back. This project used to be impossibly difficult because of the way MMF handles text, but has been brought up as an experimental project before I take on a much harder one.

This is my first attempt at making a full game which uses Lua as the brains and MMF2 as the body. So far, it's been great; I'm able to create a full level with less than 200 events and it doesn't take much effort to code in everything I want. MMF2 is the fastest flexible interface making software out there and Lua is the fastest flexible scripting code out there, so both of them cover for each other quite well

Well, unfortunately, I didn't have any excitement at all for the game when I started this.. and I did something very stupid. I recoded the old TD, line by line, into Lua.

It works great! It was technically good!

But it wasn't a game. And I completely left out the part where you place the traps, as well adjusting the code to allow for more than one wave of invaders So, after a long facepalm and a groan of agony last night.. I decided that it's better to scrap this and go back to work on Combatant.

Besides, who'd want to play a text-based game anymore?

No animations needed. I don't want to post a screenshot to what kind of graphics are need because it's just that ugly

The sample game is at:
