This is an engine I was compelled to make after realizing that there are no Abadox-related fangames/manipulations to be found anywhere on the net.
Story:
Years after Lieutenant Nazal penetrated and blew up the lifeform Parasitis (after it devoured his home planet) and freed the lovely Princess Maria, the two managed to find other survivors of the massive attack. They all got together and built a pseudo-Abadox out of the old battle wreckage, supported still by machines, but able to house plant and animal life. Nazal and Maria enjoy their simple days on this Neo-Abadox until...
A new threat approaches. Far off into the sky, a large being of some sort can be seen, getting closer and closer to their planet. It's obvious that this disease-cell shaped organism wants Abadox as badly as its predecessor, maybe moreso. Radars pick it up, however, as not just one being, but a massive battallion of hungry beings! The aptly named "Bacterians" are armed and ready to take on their prey..
Nazal cringes at the idea of having to go through this again.
(If in 2-player mode) Nazal's best soldier, Sergeant Corel, accompanies Nazal on his trip up to the Bacterians, gun in hand.
Engine:
Not bad so far. Powerups are plentiful and affect everything from the first game: Protection, Barriers, different weapons, and Maneuverability.
A new suit of battle armor, however, has given Nazal the ability to have A HEALTH GAUGE!! Not only that, but the ability to stash his weapons up for use later! Nazal can switch between his weapons at any time mid-play.
Of course:
-Level walls are instant deaths
-Enemy collisions take away health/protection
-Barriers can only take so many hits
-Each level has a mid-boss and main boss
-Parallax scrolling

This is the first screenshot.
It basically details the engine room, showing enemy explosions, the level borders, backgrounds, sprite styles, and some powerups.
