-Plot-
A race of evil aliens have spread a devastating foreign weed called spike. These weeds resemble the oh so familar death spike traps from many video games. They stated over a planetary wide broadcast that they will harvest all the plants when they are fully grown. They have also created light outposts whose beams are so great they are stopping night from falling across the world. The outposts enable the spikes to grow to immense sizes, some now the size of busses. While world governments send out weakened sos signals to planetary neighbors for help, individual groups have decided to take action. An alien species know as the Regore, who has settle on earth, have discovered that they can harness the power of the immense light. As a reperesentative of the Regore, you have taught three other individuals this trick. You four are now going to attempt to take out the light posts in your region. At all costs.

-Characters-
Wiziwig: The Regore representitive of this group. Is not bothered by weather effects and can hover for a short amount of time.

Ross: An upcoming karate expert. He can perform a double jump. He can also knock enemies back a little bit.

Soh-nu: A practicing ninja artist. He has a wide field of vision in the dark. Can aslo use a platform hook.

Johnston: Is from a strange, cactus like race. He likes to wear a cowboy hat. Using a knife and gun, he can throw two shots at the same time. While he can't double jump, he can jump longer then the other characters.

-Some gameplay-
I am going to test different engines with this game to see what I like. So other then a standard platformer, this is all I got at the moment. With one exception. If a character dies during a stage, they are in permadeath until the stage is complete. Other characters may attempt to rescue them via touch, provided they don't die themselves. They also won't be resurrected until the entire stage is finished. To negate the brightness in the region, you must either activate the Dark light posts, or destroy the Ligthen Outposts. Hopefully, weather will also be a factor.

Run! Part1

Slowly but surely, things begin to move. Here's a look at the wip run animation for Wiziwig.

I am pretty sure that there is a ink effect that can make your characters one solid color. After the lights go off, I'm going to have the characters change back to color. That should be interesting.

So here's a playthrough of the demo. I've been wanting to make one since I got it working. It's still processing so it might not show yet.

Also, you know my little lighting problem?

Well, I got that finished. I also worked on the characters a little bit more. I think I got the game's point across with the image I present. At least I have a Logo now. Ya.

I'm also going to attempt to do a custom AI movement using created detectors. I know about embedded ones. And from my tests, they didn't perform very well. So I'm thinking about doing something like that. If anyone knowledgable in this area would like to help, please post below and I'll send you a finished engine. As always, I like hearing what you have to say.

Thanks in adnvance!
