Preview ETERNAL ORBIT


This is the game I've been working on for the past 2 months, soon to be released!

Initially this started off as an exercise in unit count but it spiralled out of control and became a fully featured game (and yes, the title is a nod to a certain other RTS some of you may remember)!


Game Features:

- 3 difficulty levels

- Custom game type

- Factory waypoints

- Spawn multiple units

- Scroll and move units using minimap

- Theoretically unlimited AI players (currently 4 available)

- Dynamic music


Engine Features:

- 500-1000 total units (depending on CPU)

- 360 shooting and smooth rotation

- Automatic harvesters

- Adjustable window size and fullscreen option (fits all resolutions above 1280x720)

- Fog of war (visibility)

- Four unit AI states

- Smooth scrolling

- Parallax starfield


FREE! (and possibly opensource)

Getting close to finishing the game, posting an update.

Programming the AI should be challenging but not impossible. I'm trying to do it without the game taking too much of a performance hit.

I have a debug key to disable fog of war visibility that I've used here for demonstration purposes. This does not reflect what will happen in the game.
