Project Overview  
Preview This will be my first attempt at an RPG, so let's see how it turns out.

In a far away land, there exists a kingdom called Damonia. In it, lives a king known an King Dederic, and his beautiful daughter, Princess Amelia. She is desperate into wanting to marry a special someone, so when the news broke on the other side of the land, an evil wizard named Karlov hears about the princess wanting to get married. Karlov plans to capture the princess, and bring her back to his lair so he ends up marrying her. It is now up to Knight Richard to travel across the land to Karlov's lair, and rescue the princess.

Throughout the game, you will fight all kinds of monsters in a turn based RPG battle system. Defeat enemies, level up your stats, buy items and equipment, everything you need to progress further to reach Karlov's lair

Update Log #6 - 05/19/21

Hey y'all!

First off, the game's still coming along nicely, but I've been working very slowly on it for the past couple of months since I've been busy finishing up my school year and with my job, and now that I'm done with school and I'm in summer break, I can finally dedicate some of my time to work on the game.

I've just finished the Illusion Caverns area a couple days ago, and now I'm working on another forest area (as seen on the attached screenie) which will lead up to another small cave area containing the second boss of the game.

I'm getting close to getting where I need to get in order to release this game as a demo for you guys to try out. I don't have an exact date for that just yet, but once I get close to finish beta testing the demo, I'll let ya know. I plan to get this done before the end of the month, but I can't promise that.

Thank you guys for being patient, it's been very stressful for me lately to try to keep up with everything, especially when you have real-life situations such as my education, and with this COVID-19 pandemic, it has made it somewhat difficult for me. Then again, I'm just one guy making all of these games during his spare time. It's not my job (although I wish it could be), it's just a hobby I love doing.

Hey everyone!

I've been silent for another two months so I thought I would give out more updates on the game. It is still slowly coming along, and I've been a little behind on it since I just started my second semester of Sophomore college a couple weeks ago, and because of that, I haven't had much time to work on it. Now don't worry, even if I have to step away from the project for a long time, I am not gonna stop working on it. I always try to find good times for me to sit down and continue working on it.

I am currently working on a big cave area after the forest area that I mentioned before. I've already made a couple enemies for it, and I'm currently working on its overworld design. The screenshot attached to this post shows one of the enemies I made specifically for that area.

I don't have much info on the game, but I'll keep you posted in the next two months, and hopefully I'll be a bit further with it. Not sure when I'll have a DEMO for you guys, but like I said, I'll keep you posted.

Also, I hope your guys' 2021 is going well. I know 2020 has been very rough for a lot of you, so let's hope things will get better this year.

Hey y'all!

I have some more updates on the game for you guys, so here's what has been going on for the past two months. First off, I'm still a little behind on making that forest area that I mentioned in the previous log. I was being too focused on school assignments for this fall semester that I didn't have enough time to work on the game, and plus I also have a job which has been holding me back too. Now that I'm done with the semester, I have some more time to work on the game, while also going to work.

On the plus side, I was able to make three new enemies that are exclusive to that forest area and also went ahead and programmed their attacks. It's all looking great so far. I've also had a couple friends beta test what I've done with the game so far, and they all seem to be satisfied with it while still offering some feedback.

Aside from all of that, I'm still a little behind with its development, therefore I might have to wait until next year to release a demo of the game. I wanna get as much done as possible so that you guys have a lot of content to play with without rushing anything.

Anyways, that's all I have for you guys today. Overall, the game's coming along nicely. Catch ya guys next time!

Hey guys!

I have more updates for you on the game's development. As always, it is still slowly coming along nicely. I'm still working on the second part of the game after the first boss, but I got done making the second town and added more equipment to the armor shop.

I tend to make the second part a bit longer than the first part just so I don't end up making the same type of overworld design pattern, and what I mean by that is making a field area, then a cave with the boss, I want to give it some variety.

I am currently at the beginning of making the next area after the second field which is going to be a forest, and I have to work on its overworld design, as well as new enemies. Not sure how long it's going to take me, but I'll let you know on the progress later on.

I hope I'll be able to release a DEMO of the game before the end of the year, but given how busy my personal life has been lately, I might end up releasing it by the beginning of next year.
